I'v been playing halo online for years and I'v allways had problems with lag. When my NAT is open I have no problems finding lag free games quickly.

Here's the problem, my NAT is mostly strict now, I test it on the xbox dashboard before playing becasue when is strict, I have a terrible experince online.

It instantly becomes alot harder to aim and maneuver my character, it feels like there is a massive delay between me shooting and the bullets hitting the enemy and it takes ages to find a game.

Anyone else experince this with strict NAT?

A netgear one, but it's broken. I'v orderd a new one and I'm sure I can open the NAT.

The problem is people say that your NAT shoulden't effect lag, only connevting to peoples games, but when my NAT is strict... the game plays very badly.

I'v orderd a D-link one with NAT suport and portforwarding, it will be ok.

I'm not trying to figure out HOW to open the NAT, I'm just curious to find out if a strict nat will make halo 3 laggy?

Becasue this is definitly the case for me.
