Forgive me if a similar post has been created but I'm a bit fed up with all this 'Halo 3 is gone', 'Its been great' lark.

The reason im creating this post is ask, for my own clarification and I'm sure others too, am I the only one that is still going to play a lot of Halo 3?

Now I've got a new account after a year of not owning an Xbox and shall soon be diving back into Halo 3. Reach isn't going to, or perhaps, shouldn't 'kill this game', it's to damn good. Another great game isn't going to harm an established, outstanding game. It's just another addition to the gaming world and specifically the Halo world.

I'm standing by this game and I might even try Reach too. Hell I might even play both of them!

The 14th Phangs

It's inevitable. Just like Halo 3 killed off Halo 2 in time. If Reach is good and has replay value it will end Halo 3 slowly.

Bungie is already compacting playlist that will only make people go to Reach faster.

It's more profitable to have people playing Reach and buying DLC for it.

Rarity FTW

It is likely that Reach will act like a poison...slowly killing off Halo 3. But to answer your point, I'll still play it.

I understand Bungie's interest in profit and also that alot of time will be shifted to the new game. I wouldn't, and I don't think many would, ask for equal time and the carried on expansion of Halo 3 but the template that has been set down is strong enough to last for years. It definitely holds more ground against Reach than Halo 2 did against 3.

I just hope the two games do well alongside each other. Halo 3 is too much of a gem online to die out to the new flashy version. As cool as Reach may be.
