Just played through Halo CE again on a whim. Guilty Spark is one, and...Bungie is the second? They said they were done making Halo games with ODST, after all.

I just have no idea what's going on.

I've made it my life goal to never become too stressed. So if I appear to be doing nothing all the time and generally never working particularly hard on any task, that's my plan in action.

Despite the name "Two Betrayals", only one betrayal occurs: 343 Guilty Spark's turning against the Chief. Though it is possible that the Chief and 343 Guilty Spark can be looked at as betraying each other, or that it is referring first to Cortana 'betraying' the Chief by refusing to activate Halo, then to Guilty Spark.

I guess it could be that Spark betrays Chief by not telling him what's going on...and then Chief betrays Spark by not executing his role as a "redeemer"...

I'm not familiar with any betrayals going on there.

Bungie never said ODST or Halo 3 would be their last Halo game.

Also, Spark and Chief betray each other, spark not saying the ring would kill everyone and Chief not activating the ring after helping spark.

An assassin will always carry on, even after death.

2nd betrayal: MC went to rescue Keyes even though keyes ordered him to leave him

Exactly.

That second one's not exactly what I'd classify as a 'betrayal,' but I guess that's why I don't name Halo missions. Tricky language, this English.

Mystery solved!

Good to be useful

Soon to be breaking news:

US Coast Guard prepares for massive rescue mission after Iranian fleet sinks off shore. Reports say a small thunderstorm caused most of the ships to simply...fall apart.

Not a betrayal in my book, but I'll take it.

I wouldn't say that Spark betrayed the Chief by not telling him since Spark thought he knew about the ring. I would say that the Chief betrayed Spark by deciding to side with Cortana and then Spark betrayed the Chief by trying to have him killed.

I love how Halo CE still has a mystery or two.
