It seems to me that both of you have only insulted your own intelligences by looking for technical advice in a thread about design THEORY and then complaining when you can't find any.
There is no basis for calling anything like this a cult either. The man is simply posting lectures and expositions on the theory of design, ones that have continuously received great recognition, not religion or beliefs. Just because he has a following and is able to refer to his readers with relaxed verbiage doesn't mean he is manipulating them or that the group as a whole have an ulterior motive, two quintessential aspects of cult behavior.
Complaining about his username is equally destructive to anyone caring what you would have to say. If you think he shouldn't have it, you should go back in time and get it for yourself before he does. Did he take the one you wanted? That would be the only reason you should have any complaints.
I do agree that the combination of "godly" and "perfection" is a bit conceited, but the rest his "high horse" is very much earned.
I think the issue is more of a misunderstanding.
A fair amount of the forge guides aren't truly directly helping you when forging. IE: it's mostly discussing a topic that helps to keep in mind with forge, the concept of contrast, for example.
However, it only appears this way due to the fact that the lessons are split up.
If you were too read all of the lessons as paragraphs in one post, it'd be evident that they DO relate.
At least that's how it is for me. You have to understand and connect the different lessons to make use of his guides.
Anyways, let's end this debate, I'd hate to see this topic locked.
*is eagerly awaiting next lesson*
