I beat Aussies, Euro, and Japanese players on their host all the time. For the low level of skill it requires to get a 50, you can't blame connection. To consistently win on a 50 with a terrible connection is difficult, but it's not difficult to get a 50 even if you're laggy.
See Mat, and the other Aussies who inhabit this forum, alot of them have gotten yellow bar 50s.
You're just blaming your connection for why other players are beating you. It may play a factor, but unless you're being standby'd, it's completely possible to beat anyone on their host.
I'm sorry you suck, but stop blaming it on your poor internet. It may play a factor, but you don't need a WaRrIaH CoNnEcTiOn to get a 50, it's really not that hard.
OT: this is my current internet, warrior status.
I got my first 50 on 1 down, .25 up, playing on my neighbors wi-fi.
Wow. With that internet I don't see why you shouldn't get host every friggin game you play. That's wired High speed DSL from Verizon? If so, damn. Tops mine, for sure.
Oh god my host blows. I rarely pull it, maybe once a week, which is alot more than before.
I put everyone on the planet 5 bar. If I pull host over my friends from school, they're 5 bar, if I pull host over Aussies, they're 5 bar, etc.
I dunno what's wrong with it, but I've adapted to playing off-host. It's unusually low right now, it's generally at 25 down, 20 up. I pay for 5/1 :-)
Well then what really constitutes a good connection? I've been stuck with this for years and always playing foreigners with excellent connection, which always was beyond me. QoS settings are maxed out on IP and MAC for my xbox (or pc when necessary), yet things never improve. I don't intend to hijack the topic so answer in pm if you can.
