Subject: Problem: everyone suddenly exits the game

Hey, guys, I've had a strange problem in the last few days. Often when I start an online match, after a while suddenly the screen goes black (like when someone leaves the game) and when it turns back to normal it says that EVERYONE but me has left the game, and that I have won (only that sometimes after this my exp points decrease as if I were the one who left the game). So, WTF?

It's actually you who was disconnected from the game. It's weird, but happens from time to time.

Either you have been getting host booted. Or your internet sometimes drops connection.

Thanks guys... I suspected it was a problem with my connection, but I found it strange because it had never happened to me since I got LIVE, while it happened very often in the last few days.

I changed usernames to match my gamertag. My original account, wambo114, was created when I got xbox live. I'm a 2007 kid really!

sounds like some work might be being done on your internet exchange. it wouldnt be problematic for browsing, as the line only drops for a couple of seconds, but thats long enough for you to be dropped from your game. this happens to me ALOT (hence 317 xp penalties). if i notice it happening more than usual i'd just go on a game where i dont care if it kicks me out (cod) or play some single player, like oblivion. hope it picks up for you before reach!

It started happening to me after a trip to the mainland. My connecting will stop for a while, drop out of the party, out of the game.

There is a way you can boot other players from a game by sending forged packets from your pc.
Basically you pick the ip & mac address off the udp header, grab the gamer id from the content and then send a few malformed spoofed packets which "appear" to be from that player.

End result is the playing solo effect you described.

Most times you will not loose exp, but if you look at your mm history it will show up as a DNF (can take 5 or 10 minute for the game to show).
