My Youtube - Halo 2 Online Co-op
BUNGIE AND MICROSOFT FAILS HALO 2 VISTA.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Whats with this hating on H2V? Its pretty much like halo 2, which was a decent game. (I also have H2V)
Halo 2 Xbox allowed cool mods, which were sorta like Halo Custom Edition.

Halo 2 Vista only allows BSP creation, which is sad really.

Hey Guys, long time no see. I've just jumped back here after a long spell away, only to discover all my posts etc. have been purged! Apparently I was inactive, so it's all gone, hence the 'new' member tag ....
Anyways, I don't think Halo PC is dead at all. I'm a regular on the }SoC{ Servers and they are quite busy most of the time. Drop on over and say hello!, you will be welcome!!

It's been a while since I've played Halo PC. Usually, I don't even play the full version of the game. Most of my friends play Trial.

I just had a thought... Is Halo PC going to become the next Marathon?

An innovative game, well respected, and very popular in its heyday, but at last rendered obscure, with a loyal but very small fanbase. It's continued existence being based mostly on nostalgia, it is unable to be revived, and is mostly abandoned with nothing left but to be forgotten.

I bought my copy of Halo PC back in 2005 and it is one on the few games that I have continued to play since buying it. I agree that Halo PC is/has been dying. It isn't dead yet though, not by a long shot. Also, kudos to anyone who still plays this excellent but forgotten game.

Halo PC was really the first online game I played, got it and been playing it on and off since 2003.

Whats killed Halo PC tho is the lack of vanilla servers.I dont want unlimited rockets, vehicles where there shouldnt be,unlimited nades etc.

So I tried Halo custom edition, and whats on there....yup 4 vanilla servers which are nearly always full and have a great little group of players on em.So for me the community has just got a boot up the ass,its by no means dying.

Yea Ive got reach, but I'll be a nuns aunt if I can hit anything with these pads. Its such an annoying experience for me after playing (and dominating wiv my pistol) Halo PC for so many years.Reach on PC would be bloody stunning, but it aint ever gonna happen :(

halo PC is still king. hopped on last night, theres still a decent amount of good servers.

I've been toying with the idea of popping the disc back in, but I'm unsure how much of a community is really left.

Update to 1.09. You don't need the disk anymore.

I still play Halo PC even though I have Halo Reach

  • 09.19.2010 10:26 PM PDT

i am going to stick my neck out and say that before sept of 2011 we will have a newer halo on pc, mark my words;)

  • 09.20.2010 11:00 AM PDT

I love Halo PC. I got it when it first came out for PC back in 03. I really enjoy the fact that people still care about the game and play it. I played online with it and had a good time. We might have played in the past. Who knows. ;)

  • 09.20.2010 11:11 AM PDT

I started playing Halo on the PC but later I got the Xbox and the xbox360. I have played on all of them and occasionally go back to play on PC still. When Bungie mentioned the "flair" it reminded me of all the good times that halo PC had given me and I came back for some more. I find it silly that people will buy a copy of Halo PC just for a name plate, but I feel like the HALO nameplate means more than the Mark IV helmet people can get because it shows the years of dedication you MAY have had for Bungie. That said, people who buy Halo PC are clearly supporting bungie in some way, so it can't be that bad right?

I can imagine it from a dedicated halo PC player's perspective and this is exactly what I would think: "Those people are posers"

I'll be honest, I'm more of a has-been but I'll take credit for the time I've played in the past.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

I still play. And ive still seen many servers

  • 09.21.2010 8:50 PM PDT

I've played off and on for years. It really feels dated to me nowadays, though.

I really wish Reach would get ported to PC with a full SDK. I'd gladly pay $60. =P

  • 09.21.2010 8:54 PM PDT

60 is that all I would pay double that for reach on PC,it would be bliss to be able to play on dedis with my mouse and keyboard :D

Back in the day I used to play as 'gimp' but for the past few years Ive been called 'an igloo' mainly play custom these days as well cause it has 5 non-modded servers to enjoy.

The games looks have aged, but like that fit MILF ya see at work everyday ya just cant help but want some more :D

I log on to my Halo CE everyone now and then. I am not an avid player like I use to be. Plus, I have Halo CE for mac, which as far as I know is no longer in production. I have had my copy since 2004, and I am proud to be a veteran.

OMG a Pwny!

I still hop on PC pretty frequently, mostly because my wife will want to watch True Blood or something. I'll continue to play because Race in Reach is not as cool as it is on CE.

I remember the endless games on Bloodgulch with 15 flag caps, all vehicles enabled, with Red team camping the cliff and me with an MA5B Assault Rifle, 4 Frags, and a Flamethrower, M6D Pistol, and M90 Shotgun (12 rounds). I remember when the only way to keep the enemy from using the Scorpion was to kill it, steal it, and horde it. I remember when it wasn't about Rank or cR or what armor you had, it was about how many of your friends you killed. Yeah, I remember Halo: Combat Evolved.

No matter what they do with the Assault Rifle in the next and newest Halo, it will never be the MA5B, and that's why I'll keep playing Halo PC

That and I love me some 12 round M90 action.

And frag nades that don't need 3 more "friends" to kill 1 guy.

And and and and and and and the list goes on.

<3 Halo: Combat Evolved
And Flamethrowers.

Indeed. It's pretty much useless in HPC multiplayer and that's exactly how I like it. :D
