Is it possible to still spoil this game? Anyway..

So I just played through ODST's campaign.. DARE is talking about the engineer like it's going to help us win the war. We secured the engineer, you find out what the Covenant are digging for (in H3). So what is it that benefited us by capturing that particular creature?

it will call upon its slave brothers cause a massive uproar of tentacle creatures

in the wide spread panic the master chef sneaks into the dig sit kills the prophet owns everyone

captures the dig site, throws up a lawn chair, takes off his helmet (still not revealing his identity), and pulls out some champagne and toasts Bungie a farewell

just a theory

Was that the legendary ending? I didn't catch that part.

*Spoilers*

Pretty much the legendary ending

the squad and the alien met up with Sergeant Johnson

He sits down and has a cigar with the alien while telling it

"your gonna help us find a way to defeat the covenant"

the alien smiles

and black out

Good players work together...and no matter how good you are, you're not physic. - blade6321

It probably gives us tactical information that humanity can use against the covenant. If 343 really wanted to get creative, it could have the engineer work with humanity to build better technology.

yeah but that would take away from the story really

the master chief is really there just to kick serious ass

the alien is probably just going to be like.... oh brutes have a weak spot... tickle there feet

they'll dance like monkeys
