I like Halo, and everything about it.

"A hero need not speak, for when he is gone, the world shall speak for him."

I know, i know, everyones seen threads like this all over the site, i just thought i'd join in as well.

Once Reach is released, Halo will be nothing but a memory, something that is revisited just to compare the new to the old, and to joke around and visit past memories from the game.

I just want to say, thank you Bungie, for making Halo 3. I'll never forget the snow days, rainy summer days, and the splitscreening late at night with friends. The fun times i had driving through a warthog on valhalla wrecking nubs, or hiding in the sword room on the pit when i wasn't aware that it was extremely noobish at the time. Or forging a map, playing a racetrack variant with massive amounts of friends from school, and getting over-excited when finding out all the forging possibilities about Foundry when the Heroic map pack was let out.

Or the Easter eggs in campaign.

The legendary ending.

The epic MLG games in foundry variants.

Swords only in Lone Wolves.

Epic Rocket Race games.

The feeling of accomplishment you get when you rank up.

Just everything.

Pceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Halo 3, its been awesome.

there will still be quite a decent amount of halo 3 players playing actually. the hardcore mlg players, and the good legit 50's that have fun and can play halo 3 on a competitive level. in my perspective most the people moving on to reach are in the 1-47 skill gap.

also. if reach was anything like the beta, people will be coming back to h3 after they finish reach campaiagn.

Bungie will fix the bugs and other things as people start to give them feedback, they did well on Halo 3 and should do well on this, plus there is a lot more for the "player" to do aswell in Reach like Forge being upgraded to 2.0 and many other things... So imo I doubt people quit after campaign, just my two sense not saying your wrong...

I doubt it, halo 3's aging, and people want change.

Any game can be as competitive as you make it, and with Reach being hitscan, it'll be even more competitive than halo 3.

This, though I still think some will go back to Halo 3.
Well, it was fun!

People were saying that once MW2 was released, MW1 would die out. Well, it didn't... Not at all. P.S.: Sorry for the CoD reference, just trying to make a point.

it is a husk of its former self though. sabotage and the other unpopular playlists are barren. snd and tdm are still good though. tdm had around a thousand people playing today. thats a tiny amount compared to the old numbers. remember the first christmas with cod 4, xbox live itself buckled under the stress of cod 4 and halo 3. it won't ever match that again.

halo 3 will sit in the top ten live games im sure.

Without a doubt Halo 3 will stay in the top ten; I just want to see "a certain game" dethroned... And I have a bad feeling that won't happen :'(

Thinking with Portals since '07

Battlefield 3 sucks.

More like a "farewell-ill-barely-play-you-anymore" type thread yeah lol.

But reach wont be like the beta, thats why they made the beta, to make improvements and make the game alot better so it wouldnt completely fall apart in the opening months.
