I have one quick question and I don't know if it's been asked before and the thread is so long I don't feel like looking through it but:

If you die during a mythic mission, do you have to exit out of the current session and restart the level from the menu? or is it okay to die and allow the iron skull to reset you on its own?

I'm just wondering because I know in mythic one of the rules is you can't die. I'm just wondering if it counts as you completing the mission on mythic even if you die and get reset by the iron skull.

For the sake of stats and saved films, it's better to do the former.

That's me for the weekly.

Anyway, I don't know if this has already been posted, but yeah.

DarkDevestation and I found a way to clear out all the enemies on the other side of the door in a CO-OP run, but unfortunately it requires iron to be off.

But I'll post it anyway, incase you want to use it for whatever reason.

Basically, when you glitch through the door, the other players must be dead.

They then spawn on the other side of the door, and there's no enemies there.

[...] He went through first this time and then Jun once again started opening the gate and all the enemies appeared.

What am I doing wrong here?

One thing is that as soon as you get onto the other side of the door, you must immediately start sprinting down the path.

Myself and a friend did it yesterday evening, and even though Jun was being a twat and alerted all the enemies at Powerhouse, we still made it through the door (well, I did) and then they were teleported to me.

I went to the door while my friend stayed back and sniped the grunts and jackals.

Maybe I'll try it again...

After playing through this mission I honestly can't decide which member of noble team is the most worthless.

Jun: After playing through nightfall he constantly is doing stupid things, whether its sniping the enemies when I'm sneaking up on them, opening doors when I don't want him to, or straight up shooting me in the back when I am sprinting through the monster part.

Emile: Must have flunked out of sniper school and is jealous of Jun b/c he will not stop trying to use his shotgun as a sniper rifle. Also don't try to shoot enemies from a distance with him around because he will stand in front of you and then armor lock. Oh and if you want to get through a door or use it as cover he makes sure to stand right in the archway to block your path. I've had times where I've back tracked on PoA and he literally just wanders directly into me and its like when you are walking down the street and two people try to go around each other but they keep stepping to the same way.

Kat: If it wasn't for her incessant nagging and inability to drive she might actually be useful, but alas she has a boy haircut, which is irrelevant but at least they could have made her hot.

Carter: Well he killed a scarab and got all zombie face without us seeing why, but other than that does he ever even do anything? The only mission I remember him on is LNoS and Winter Contingency. Since WC is pretty much the easiest mission his presence is unnecessary and on LNoS he conveniently leaves Six and Jorge to do all the dirty work after storming the beach. Anyone else get the vibe that Kat and Carter were probably banging on the side?

Jorge: The only member of the team that did anything worthwhile in my opinion. Since he carries around a giant turret and can't move that fast he acts as a fairly decent distraction in most cases mainly because he isn't ALing nonstop.

Six: Anyone notice how everyone in noble team is a sass bag to you when you arrive but then they make you do EVERYTHING? The original noble six probably shot himself because he had to deal with these idiots.

The forklift glitch only works if host is the one to do it. If another players does it it will spawn all the enemies in the next area. That's why its best to do the speed run solo.

So i tried this tonight with a friend and I made the room and assumed I was host and when we got to the forklift i made it through but before i could do anything it auto loaded back to my friend on the other side. He then went through and all the enemies were there. I attributed the enemies to spawning due to him going through so we retried the mission. On the second try I went through and then as he was going through Jun proceeded to unlock the gate and all the enemies spawned. So I thought perhaps he somehow stole connection host from me once I started the game. He went through first this time and then Jun once again started opening the gate and all the enemies appeared.

What am I doing wrong here?

I found that if the other players in the game moved up too far in the area before the gate, it would trigger some thing that spawned the enemies. Make sure that whoever is not doing the glitch stays back, and as was pointed out, as soon as the glitch has been done, get sprinting down the path!

I can see it now. Kat gets downed by the Banshee bomb, Six looks down at her and thinks, "You couldn't even do this right..."

Thought you all would appreciate this. I started working on my Tip Of The Spear mythic run today, and I'm having what I would describe as "unusually bad" luck in the first encounter.

Take a look:

Attempt #1

1st Person Camera

3rd Person Camera

Attempt #2

1st Person Camera

3rd Person Camera

Attempt #3

1st Person Camera

3rd Person Camera

I'll keep working on it :)

Alright done the first three missions with blind skull on (even though the past 2 laso's didn't need it)... I'm thinking I may try a full run through on mythic... It seems fun!

So I was practicing for my Mythic ONI run (almost ready for the real deal) with 11 skulls on (no Blind or Iron). Got to the chokepoint when re-entering the base. Used my previous technique I mentioned a few pages back where the Elite faces the door and turns his back (which is still working for me every time by the way). He was right by the door facing it but I timed the assassination run wrong and had to back off right when I got to him. Apparently the door went ahead and opened. Is that a one time glitch, or does it always open if you get close enough? Anyway, when the door opened the rest of Noble team distracted him for an easy assassination LOL. Check it out:

I've actually tried the Elite assassination thing, but with my own spin. Sure enough, it works very well most of the time. Nice find :-)

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

Hey Tyrant I got a question:

When doing the run-through for Nightfall, is there anything special you can do to stop Jun from firing and screwing over your stealthiness? Cuz I went to get the weekly challenge and I had to start over a few times because Jun would blow my cover, and then I would get bum-rushed.

Unfortunately, short of pushing Jun off the cliff somehow, there's no way to prevent him from -blam!- everything up. This is one of those "random factors" that are so prevalent (and so loathed) in Mythic.

In order to be considered a Mythic conquerer, must all the completed missions be solo, or can some be co-op?

To get on the list, solo.

@Rye

Pretty much.

As far as I know it's either complete them all solo or complete them all co-op, no mixing. So far no 2 people have managed to fully complete the campaign co-op this time around, but the closest two are DarkDEVASTAT10N and Gazas with 7 (I think) levels done. Dark moved to Australia though and lag's now an issue, whereas Gazas hasn't been focusing on Mythic for ages.

#1 Legendary ODST Firefight Highscore

[UNINTELLIGIBLE > INSUBORDINATION(?)]

Something new I encountered on Exodus: some of the brutes can get sneaky, and come up behind you, such that you aren't expecting anything from coming from behind. This hasn't happened before, and it typically gets you killed, unless you get lucky. Hope this doesn't forestall progress on Exodus.

Also, do you know if that door opening was a fluke?

It has to be all solo or all co-op.

Speaking of co-op Mythic, would anyone want to join me for some? I've been wanting to do it for a while now but haven't found anyone to do it with.

I'm down if we are on at the same time. I tend to play late at night.

Also Smile, I watched y'all's co-op POA, that was sick!
