Alright so here goes my LNoS SLAASO adventure.
I'm following tyrant's video to the "t" and make it to the part where you have to kill your fellow marines coming off the pelican to stack up some rockets. First 2 drops works out pretty good. Next 3 drops, they all jump off the pelican with DMR's and snipers. So I say screw it and leave with only 6. I really wanted 8 because I just don't trust my skills yet. A word to the wise. When you're doing that part run over the rockets right away and then go back and HIDE. If you don't, sometimes the elites will see you and follow you back. If you manage to get out of their sights and hide well, wait for a pelican to arrive and the pelican arrival will cause them to retreat back to their normal places away from you.
Outerspace part has been THE hardest part of this stage. What usually happens is I come under attack, I spin and flip like crazy, and now I'm all the way out in the open nowhere near any cover. So I keep getting pelted from every direction. After some much grinning and bearing I finally make it onto the Corvette.
This is where things did not go like the video. Only one elite would jetpack out of the corvette so now I have more sitting down there. The problem I have now is that I have no idea how many are down there, so after I rocket 3 of them I hop down and what do you know, there about 3 or 4 more left. Luckily I have the bubble shield and they only attacked me one at a time. So one would come, I throw up the shield pull out the sword and now I have a perfect formula for being at 100% shields and health. So I've cleared the bridge and the next room with the engineers in the air after much patience was used to kill the sniper elites.
I kill the next 2 Ultras in the hallway with little fanfare and I'm in the room with 3 Ultras. I use Tyrant's idea of shooting through the small slit to pepper and head shot 2 of them. Now I'm trying to figure out where the 3rd one went (the one with the mini cannon) and he's nowhere to be found. I thought like in Tyrant's video, he went somewhere in the room and just stopped moving but he was nowhere to be found. Maybe he called Capt. Piccard and requested to be beamed out of there. I even checked the hallway leading to the main bridge (the one with the 3d image of the planet floating in the air) but he wasn't in there either.
I do the tyrant barricade and now I'm moving into what looks like the main command area of the ship. I'm watching the one walking elite and I realize that he's never going to sit still long enough for me to assassinate him first. So I say screw it and run up and knock out the closest grunt, the walking elite is walking away, doesn't see me so I run up to him and knock him out, and now I'm next to another Elite who is unaware of what has transpired and has his nose in the console typing away. So I knock him out and I figured I didn't want to stretch my good luck and I hightail it back to the door. To my surprise, the general elite and sword Elite have no idea what has happened and are still busy at their computers. I can't believe how luck I am because now I have no covenant patrols to watch me as I try to sneak up on them. As a precautionary measure I check the room to make sure there isn't another roving invisible elite. I find 2 grunts staring at some monitor, so I butt stroke the first one, but the second grunt sees me some how and my good luck has ended.
Killing the sword elite is easy, just wear his shields down with the plasma rifle and then pop him in the head. If you're worried you don't have enough time kill him, just back pedal all the way to the previous door and he'll just back pedal away from you once your back hits the door. After killing him, I get a checkpoint with the general standing behind a purple crate so I have to do no maneuvering to get right up on him and do the plamsa rifle/assassination 2-step.
I barricaded the hallway and doorway where the covenant appear when you hit the switch just like the video. Turns out I barricaded it so well they pop out, 1 at a time and it's like shooting fish in a barrel. The elite runs in and of course is stuck at the hallway barricade and is an easy assassination.
Got me a checkpoint, 100% life and shields and that's when I called it a night. Hopefully my next barricade will work and then I'll be back to the Pelican for the finale. This SLAASO wasn't that bad. I'm thinking POA will be the king of all them as far as difficulty goes.
