They're making atlas shrugged into a movie.

I'm with Eli. Humility is not saying one is worthless, nor is it not taking pride in one's work. It is simply moderating that pride so that it is not excessive, and thus not a vice at all.

And that's the thing about humility: it moderates pride so that it does not turn into hubris: pride to an arrogant extreme.
Ok, it seems that people think I was telling people to be arrogant; it also seems that we use the word "humilty" differently.
In the Merriam-Webster dictionary, "humility" is defined as "the quality of state of being humble: not proud, ranking low in hierarchy or scale; insignificant."
So, when someone suggested that we should be humble, my instinctive response was "No, you should take a justified, legitimate pride in your work!", but I guess people were using "humble" to mean "justified pride, not arrogance"; that's what I meant exactly. People shouldn't be arrogant; arrogance implies an unjustified feeling or hubris. So what I'm saying is:
If someone does something great like say, for, example, RC Master completes Tip of the Spear in twelve minutes, he should come here and say "Look how fast I finished this level, guys! Isn't it great? I bet no one is as fast as I am!" He should not say "Aw shucks, guys, it was nothing; it's stupid really."
See, this post is Mythic related.
But, as much as I like Ayn Rand, I do have to admit she used words in an extremely literal manner e.g. the literal definition of selfish is "concern for one's own interest". Therefore, selfish=good. The only problem is that most people use the word "selfish" to mean "concern for one's own interest, at the expense of other people."
