Exodus alternate path.
right when you get the jetpack, i found a way that let's you skip past the enemies around where the banshees are flying.
In tyrants guide, he jetpacks around and runs along the edge of the building. Then, he jetpacks up. Now, this was a killing point for me a lot. There is almost always a brute, several brutes or at least a grunt or two up there. Even with my "mad pro skillz", i t was often hard to get past. well i found that if you went around the other side of the building, past the kill barrier, one of two things happens.
if you get close enough to the left,(recommended) the enemies will spawn, but will never retreat up to the top, giving you plenty of room.
if you keep to the right, the enemies will never spawn. Keep in mind that you can't go on as the enemies in the next area dont load either. However, this can be usefull for testing out some new jumping techniques ect. in the next area.
There is one difficult part, where you have to jetpack past a kill barrier. you will only have 1-2 seconds left if you pass it. However, you're garunteed no enemies up top. (tested 3-5 times both methods.) so you should practice that jump before you play through it.
I have a video in my file share named exodus that will show you how to do this.
In the video, on my first life i show the "make no enemies spawn ever" method. (sorry about the jumping around i did after, you can fast forward to my 2nd life.)
in my second life i demonstrate how the brutes, grunts, jackals, ect. will stay below, unmoving.
*note, occasionally, only the chieftan will be up top, however, no matter how much you shoot or melee him, you will not attract more enemies, and this has only happened once, when i took over 10 minutes to get up. Even on mythic(i was playing on mythic for all these tests.) it was easy to shoot at him and melee him with nothing but a pistol until he died.
Also, once you get to the end, watch me fail to assassinate the fuel rod chief! then shortly after suicidally charge everyone.
I hope you find this method helpful if you haven't done exodus yet!
second exodus "alternate path"
Rally point Bravo alternate route: melee the odst out of the right side of one of the falcons, preferably the one with the empty seat.
this way, no enemies on the rooftops can hit you, and you can focus on shooting down the banshees. using this method will drastiaclly lower your chances of being banshee bombed, plus it will give you some cover when you land, due to the falcon being between you and the enemies. You should enter the next fight at full shields and health. The only downside being that you can't gun down some of the enemies attacking you just after landing. you can choose what method to use.exodus2
Tip of the Spear alt path.
Instead of fighting anything in the begginer area, skip along the cliffs. grab a needle rifle (keep your nade launcher) from the skirmishers and move down the cave-path. You can then emp the ghost and kill the driver. set up the ghost on the bridge like i show in the video at the end of the post. Grab the unmanned ghost and head back up to take down the AA gun. As soon as it starts to blow, boost back to the bridge. Now, boost over the ghost on the bridge while holding A and you should fly across to the other side. This way, you don't have to worry about any enemies up to this point except the ghost and driver. This easily lets you bypass the wraith and phantom near the bridge too. Using this method, i've gotten to the falcon ride without even losing my shields. (darn concussive elites took me down though.)
skip 2:00- 2:45, it's just me helplessly looking around for the ghost in plain sight. You can also skip ~3:47-~7:00 as it's just me shooting the AA gun. You can usually pass the area in 7 minutes or less with this method
sorry to say none of them are rendered.
