Interesting
Indeed. Think this could work if the FRG elite were still alive? Might eliminate the zealot fight altogether.
That's what I was thinking. Although you'd need to make sure you have 100% shields and health.
Is there any reason to believe that a second concussion jump would NOT work? I mean, jumping up AFTER the Keyes cutscene. That way you might bypass the trigger that moves the Field Marshall back by the stairs.
There's no way to get that scene to start without walking to the area where the fuel rod Zealot hangs out, right? So I'm not sure this would really help other than give you another possible place to hide out while waiting for the Keys to give the order to shoot. So in the end, you'd still have to kill the fuel rod Zealot at a minimum.
Right, but if you did a concussion jump then you might be able to go to that area before the field marshall gets there (In fact it's possible the field marshall won't go there at all if you don't move into the trigger zone(s) that move him back there). The main problem I see with the tactic is the fact you would be guaranteeing yourself NO SHIELDS for the mass driver, though your health should be full from the dropshield.

Tyrant, I am asking you again to differentiate between Mythic and Laso. MYTHIC = MYTHIC SKULL. Literally, that's it. LASO = Legendary all skulls on.
Don't feed me any "Oh, well, Mythic is SINGLE PLAYER" because that's phooey too. Literally the difference between SLASO and CLASO.
Note: Challenges - LASO challenges refer to beating missions with all skulls on (Blind notwithstanding). But whenever a challenge says "MYTHIC" they always request the Mythic skull and on rare occasion one or two random other skulls they pick out of a hat.
Please, you've been misleading the definitions of the public as badly as the 9 year old myth that Forerunners ARE Humans which some people STILL believe because they failed to pick up and read a book, or pay attention in Halo 2.
Mythic =/= LASO.
Mythic has been around long before halo reach and the titles given in challenges. As I understand it the term Mythic was coined because you can complete missions LASO but you can get around the affects of the iron skull using save and quit. Also, mythic is NOT strictly single-player. Quad mythic runs are a common occurrence in the community and still hold all the requirements of Mythic (NO DEATHS for any players). Quad-LASO is easy as cake because you can die all you want and the iron skull just sends you back to a checkpoint.
At least you got one thing right, Mythic =/= LASO
Couldn't have said it better myself. Quick summary of the difference between Mythic difficulty and LASO:
LASO:
- Legendary
- All Skulls On
Mythic:
- Legendary
- All Skulls On
- Zero Deaths
- No Save/Quit (missions must be completed start to finish in one session)
- Must Be Played Online With Scoring On* (for stat tracking)
- Saved Film*
*For verification purposes. Varies from game to game. For example, in Halo 3 simply having scoring on while playing online was sufficient as scoring was disabled unless you started from the beginning of the level, but in Reach that is not true so we also require a film or a screenshot of the opening cutscene (which, if you're going to be using a fileshare slot it might as well be the film anyway).
