Halo Reach Mythic Conqueror

Posted by: General Khazard

So when's the next attempt at Quad-LNoS? I feel like if we hadn't dissolved so early last time we could have gotten it. We're getting to the hangar more consistently, and everything after that is just avoiding unfortunate flukes.

I'm always ready for some more quad-mythic, but my internet is of course terrible.

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

I'll be on tonight if anyone is game.

Twenty-ninth Halo 3 Mythic Conqueror
Eleventh Halo 3: ODST Mythic Conqueror
Fifth Halo: Reach Mythic Conqueror

You guys will have to play with Leumas "Lag" Loch; I have to get an early night tonight. Under any other circumstances, I would say yes.

We're talking about Mythic, so our Halo 4 talk is kind of related. Don't mods usually warn people to stay on topic before locking threads?

When the dust settles, you will learn what true terror is.

I was really just using quad-mythic to get us back on the topic of Reach. My gf is in town so I probably won't really be free until early next week...

Halo Reach 2/3rds of the way mythic conqueror (6/9)

For those doing quad LNoS I don't want to join but just to say the sword elite in the bridge can be blocked by putting crates in front of the door. I don't know if you will be able to block the elite and grunts on the return trip through the cannon room but it might be worth a shot.

I wish, it would be a hell of a lot easier to organize quad-mythic runs if none of us had social lives or school/work getting in the way.

Respect for men who have finished the campaign on Mythic. They're not no-life, how you said, but they're simply magicals. Sorry for my bad english if there are mistakes, I live in France!

To those who suggest Halo 2 Mythic, check out these two videos.

They're not quite Mythic, as they lack the Blind Skull.

I'm glad that someone has noticed.

I could have done a better job, but I was hindered by Halo 2 Vista's headshot difficulty problem.

At 1:24 in the Cairo Station vid, just go up to them and stick the Elite with a plasma grenade (don't do what I did in the video). If you go up to the Elite and stick him, he'll take out a sword and you can take out the Grunts while he's distracted. Then assassinate him.

There are only two complications that make Cairo Station on Mythic impossible. The hangar battles (I avoided them using cheats) and the last battle (which I found to be impossible due to the headshot problem. I now think it can be beaten).

On a side note, I noticed that Tyrant's LNoS Mythic guide stresses the importance of the Rocket Launcher early in the game. Because of this, as well as other reasons, I have developed a strategy that might work on Mythic:

http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=61458905&v iewreplies=true

Basically, it makes it more easier to roam the area and gives you support (Kat and Jorge are optional and it doesn't matter who pilots the Wraith).

Have you seen the Zero Shot (Legendary) run of Cairo Station? Maybe that may help, as the fact Johnson is invincible could be used majorly to your advantage.

I didn't know how to get the video to load though. I'm unfamiliar with jw player.

For LNoS rockets, we pretty much have a sound strategy down that involves leaving Carter in the secondary gunner seat. This keeps the Covenant from advancing for easy rocket gathering.

Fun facts about LNoS rocket gathering:

1) If you leave the Wraith in the center of the battlefield (where the drop pod was) with an AI gunner, the Covenant won't advance from the side OR past the sandbags in the front.

2) If the first wave of troops includes a rocket wielder, you're done. You can grab 2-3 rockets inside, and you really only need three total rockets for the Comms room since you'll be killing at LEASE 3 with the sword.

3) The fourth rocket is optional if you want to take out the Elite that emerges from the corridor after the initial Comms Room fight, but it isn't required.

Halo Reach 2/3rds of the way mythic conqueror (6/9)

I have tryed mythic Tip of the Spear 4 times and have died from correctable silly mistakes. I have figured out how to kill the wraith easily and despawn another and do the falcon grenades well but I have troubles with the mining facility skip (not an uncommon thing) and the spire where once I died from suicide grunt grenades blowing up other grenades and falling off the spire and using the jetpack to get back up then not realizing that the sword elite was running around which caused me to have sword in the face.

Tyrant, speaking of which, do we have any more plans for Quad-Mythic?

AlpineFroggy, what do you mean you're having trouble with the mining facility skip? Do you keep getting shot up while you're doing it, or do you keep missing the jump? If it's the former, kill the jackals with a needle rifle or DMR; you should have enough ammo. If it's the latter, I don't know what to tell you except keep practicing and watch some of our videos. Not mine though; I skipped that part by jumping onto the wire spools LIKE A MAN.

For the spire, if you fall off, I suggest using your jetpack to survive the fall rather than boosting back up; I assume you'd be low on fuel if you do the latter and you won't be able to get away from the ultra. The suicide grunt thing has never happened to me before; grunts don't go suicide until their squad leader is killed (the ultra) and the ultra won't attack until most of his minions are dead.

At the moment, not a clue. I'll be out of town from tonight until Tuesday. Tuesday would be the soonest, but since I haven't published a video in nearly two weeks, that takes priority. Then of course I'm working the next three nights. More than likely next Saturday will be the soonest I can get online and play co-op.

Thats the thing but mots of the time or at least 80% of the time I don't fall off. Until I started doing it mythic, thats when I fell off. But no the jackles never seem to give me any trouble.
As for falling off the spire I can't fix that. As for the suicide grunts of I use a plasma pistle to pepper the elites shields and then when they pop headshot with a needle rifle I have collected. This sometimes causes the grunts to go suicide but I usely don't have problems with the grenades at all in my practice runs. I pretty much have problems with making fall off the cliff and only got it after numerous attempts.

As for Sword Base I have a question of how to take out the elite with needler after getting the gauss hog over the jersey walls on the way back. I don't seem to be able to hit him with the hog turret, is there anything that I can do to saflly take him out.

Makes me want to give it a try sometime seeing I've got a kickass computer and H2 PC. Though I don't have the first clue about recording things or doing screen caps.

Though I've mentioned it every so often, the SEASO days on the original xbox were grand...till I met the flood...

Damn, I guess I'm too late into the Mythic scene then. Are we going to see a Mythic 2.0 guide for LNoS?

First, you'll need a dev trainer for the easy to turn on skulls. I recommend Paulus', as it was the only one that worked for me.

Google 'Halo 2 Vista Devmode' and click on the first link. On the second page, there's a guide on how to install it. I think the guide can be used with any dev trainer.

Then take a look at my posts here where I've figured out how to get to the hanger mostly unscathed.

And after the hangar, lure the Elites that kill the gunnery sergeant guy with gunfire for an easy assassination and then do what you see in the video.

When you get to the Drones, just stay in the elevator. They'll come closer for an easy kill. I skipped the Covies that come up on the elevator but it's manageable. The Ranger Elites should be beatable.

Btw, have you encountered a problem like this? It frustrated me enough to delete Halo 2 Vista from my computer.
