I almost did Exodus legitimate ):
I was going at it for the Weekly, so I figured, why not just make this a legit SLASO run? I knew I wouldn't make it, but it seemed like a good way to spend the night; trying to do this. I had SO many close call areas. That very first big battle with the Brutes almost took me out because I ran out of Pistol ammo early, so I had to grab the DMR early. So I used to DMR to finish off all the Brutes, completely forgetting about the two Skirmishers I failed to kill coming in. I try to hit them, but run out of DMR ammo. So now I have to use a variety of Assault Rifles, Spikers, and Plasma Pistols to take down two Skirmishers and a handful of Grunts. I can swear I took more damage than I should have, but I made it safely, against my expectations. Next, while doing some jetpack tricks to avoid the Bullfrogs fight, I boosted up to the platform to come face-to-face with a Concussion Rifle Captain Brute. He knew I was there and he wanted me dead. I was lucky I had jetpack juice left, though, because his shots (none of which hit me directly) managed to fling me into the opening I needed to go into. I was almost dead.
Then the huge gap to skip the jetpack section obviously almost killed me. I held up surprisingly well in that tower battle before the Falcon section, but I made one huge mistake right at the end of it: I didn't heal up before I got into the Falcon. I immediately saw my shield flare indicating I was popped reflecting on the turret. I was freaking out so bad, and the Banshees, again, I swear they almost killed me. But I managed to make it through that section too. I was practically home free. All I had left to do was some Wraith-jacking, but that's old hat to me.
But see, that was the problem. When I got to the Wraith, I got cocky, and decided to try Plasma stunning it, then walking directly toward it, as opposed to jetpacking toward it. I apparently completely forgot how this works, because I got killed pretty immediately. I was crushed. But I dusted off again for the weekly and managed to finish the section flawlessly, which made me want to cry (because it was so easy).
Another day, Exodus. Another day.
