Alright I am ready for space. Cooms room, no problem. Hanger no problem. Cannon room. well most of the time this part takes me a while as they are most of the time alerted. The problem with it is that when I focus on peppering one elite that elite eventually forgets about me and runs to the other side of the room and I am not able to retaliate without the other elite killing me. This also happens with one elite except his shields recharge too fast to actually peg him and keep them down.
I'm working on a skip for the cannon room. In the mean time, if you kill the two in the hangar fast enough and allow the Marines to die, you can usually slip into the cannon room without the two Elites being alerted to your presence.
A skip, tell me more please.
Both the second hangar battle AND the cannon room can be skipped. When the three doors in the hangar room open, run through the right-hand door, behind the Elites, and down in the cannon room. Then you can run across the back of the room, jump down, and head straight for the bridge without any enemies following you. I did this a few times last week, and it was easy as pie. The problem lies in the return. The enemies are still in the cannon room, PLUS since you didn't block off any of the doors, you'll have those guys to deal with as well. If I could find an easy way to get from the bridge back through the cannon room and back to the hangar while avoiding the cannon room foes, it'd be a golden skip. Perhaps if I can't do it this weekend, one of you will figure something out? Like maybe using the concussion rifle from the bridge to jump up to the upper level without getting shot? That might be an option.
