Hi, my name is Stolen_Zombie! My morning routine is to bomb the ocean, eat a house, drink salt water, and kill a zombie. Many people consider me a jack ass because I eat corn flakes, I tell those people to go have sex with a kangaroo. After my morning routine, I rage over beating LNoS on mythic so I can get one step closer to mythic reach completion. I should mention that's after school. My diet is shotgun shells and paper airplanes, nice to meet you!

I was thinking if CEA does have Mythic, then switching to classic mode should be against the rules as it would disable skulls.

Where did you find this out? I thought it just changed the graphics

You had the beam sword? Lol, that means you tried to get 7-day in the past, got to five days and then died. XD

Nope, I have it too, if you get 5 day then go into the safe room, it's there, you don't have to die

this.

Also, we came so close today on quad-mythic...

Twenty-ninth Halo 3 Mythic Conqueror
Eleventh Halo 3: ODST Mythic Conqueror
Fifth Halo: Reach Mythic Conqueror

The Quad-Mythic team adds Michael, and they breeze through two missions. We start LNOS and give up after about two combined hours. Then what's this? Michael is demoted to understudy and they try numerous times--and fail--the same mission? Coincidence?

And yes, I'm joking.

How far did you guys get? Who messed up? Who's no longer friends with whom?

We cleared the bridge. I got charged by the elite in the hallway. It didn't end well... But we are fairly consistently getting to the hangar, and we've yet to fail the bridge itself since we came up with our current strategy for it, so it's looking like quad-mythic LNOS is soon to be completed.

Huzzah! POA done and done! (Stats) (Film)

I am so psyched right now. Can't believe I got it - was really worried was gonna die in the gun again... must have been close.

I tried this time hiding behind one of the palette things (close to the front-right corner of the area) up on the gun level, rather than under the stairs (I vaguely recall seeing someone else's run which did this). When it was time, I sent my holo through the gap in the fence in that corner there, and then ran for the gun. Unlike my last run they did actually shoot at it before turning on me, that was nice!

Anyways, woo! That's my mythic campaign complete! All runs in my fileshare for anyone interested. Thanks heaps for all the tips, guides and support guys!

Well, I may as well go and have a humiliating attempt at Lone Wolf just to really finish it off. Cheers again guys!

It wouldn't actually; classic mode is only a visual change.
This reminded me that there could be an achievement for switching to classic mode. There are such achievements in Monkey Island Special Edition 1 and 2.

Fun before Victory.

Exodus has just shown my how much luck is against me...I always get less than a full Needler clip at the start of the mission, Civilians like running in front of my gun and that FRG Chieftan must have eyes on the back of his head. On my recent run, the Wraith laughed at my Active Camo too...

Found a way to prevent the enemies at the top of the Cargo Port spawning, though, which allows me to bring the ODST's Rocket Ammo instead of a hammer I'll use for two seconds. Also mounting the turret facing outwards on the Falcon, as it presents both no fire from the Brutes and easier shots on the Banshees. So at least I'm eliminating luck at some points of the mission as well as it's eliminating me in the rest of it...

At least the missions after this one are NA and The Package. I know I can do those quite easily, though the Package might take quite a while at the end as I'm an awful shot...

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

The only issue with this is that you are unable to clear the landing zone. I've done it before as well :-)

Let's see, I've got to do exodus which has horrible luck at the end for me
LNoS, no explanation needed
PoA, I'm actually considering going to try to find a way to make that last part easier, I hate coin toss parts more than anything else, and if I can find anything that makes it easier, its worth it
If we can despawn elites, why not phantoms? (that would be pretty cool) ;(

Wow I've heard that Exodus can be be annoying because of rotten luck sometimes. Exodus was completed on my first try actually The package was my exodus for luck 7 shots down and I finally got it.

I've heard taking out the zealots allows you to access hologram which can be used to draw the phantom fire temporarily. Only problem is you may run out of fresh plasma pistals to use against them.

Mythic Long Night of Solace in 32:09. (stats)

Anchor 9 section is teh suck. Fast forward it if you want to watch it. My sections from Comms to Hanger and from Hanger back to Hanger are faster than my previous run, which is where I made up the time I lost at anchor 9.

Also since I'm nice I clipped out a couple of interesting bits:
Hanger 2 to Cannon control in 4 backsmacks
Tyrant's suggestion a couple of pages back to use the right door to approach Hanger 2 area was solid. However, use it to surprise assassinate both the elites here!
There is, some issue I have that if enemies from the hanger are still alive when I run down the ramp, the Elites in Cannon control get alerted. This includes both the Elites and Grunts as far as I am aware so I stay a few seconds to make sure they're all dead before moving to cannon control.

It's easier than you might think and makes the area a breeze. I'm thinking that in Quad-Mythic if two of you rushed the Elites (one each) from here that'd give you a higher degree of wiggle room, while the other two players take out the Grunts before they beserk. Then 'nade the stupid troopers before they cause any trouble at the bridge.

Second clip: Less boxes!
Instead of using both the two boxes in cannon control I only use one to slow them down. The other I blast into the hallway to the bridge to form the barricade that traps the Elite there, so I only have to sword one little crate from the bridge in. Although it might have been quicker to not bother upon reflection...

When returning to cannon control, I made sure I had high shields and a couple of 'nades. Then lobbed them at the entrance to the monster closet. Primarily to distract the Elite / make that crate bounce around then sprint my ass up the corridor hoping that he was distracted long enough.

Speedrunning only stuff though, this one'll kill you if you don't have full shields/aren't a bit lucky.

Thanks for the post RC! Glad to know the tricks up my sleeve are being used by the speedrunners :-D I like the bit with the assassinations. That really is the only major bottleneck in the mission. Well... that and the third round of space shenanigans.

IMO, facing only the Banshees then clearing the landing zone on foot is easier than having to face the Brutes (Mainly the Repeater Brute) followed by the Banshees with less opportunities to shoot them down, simply because you are largely in control of what's firing at you on foot. It's only a Brute Captain with some Grunts and Jackels, with plenty of troopers aiding you and plenty of explosive weaponary at the landing pad to use against this group. There is an invincible trooper at the landing zone to draw the Covenant's fire towards as well.
