I finally got my capture system set up! Check this out...
Black Magic Intensity Shuttle with HDMI into a 23" ASUS Monitor, USB 3.0 into an MSI GE620 laptop connected to a 2TB external hard drive, and HDMI into the Xbox 360. Turtle Beach X11 with audio into the monitor and out into the laptop. Video captured at 720p59.54 Compressed without dropped frames. Xbox 360 audio set to Digital Stereo while my audio is recorded separately by Audacity.
If it sounds insane, it's because it is. But it finally works! If anyone has any questions with setting up capture devices, I now know a bit about the tech and troubleshooting and would be glad to help.
P.S. Bye Gazas!
P.S.S. Great job on H2 SLASO, Monopoli!
Wow. That sounds a LOT like my setup. In fact, my laptop is a MSI GT683r, so it's in the same family. We, however, were unable to get it to operate. The television I'm using is a 47" Sceptre. The capture card is a BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle.
I started by running the HDMI cable from the Xbox to a splitter. Then the splitter branched off to the TV and the capture card. The capture card was connected to the laptop via USB 3.0. The TV would display, and every time I would restart the computer, the TV would even "blink" as if reacting to the laptop, but when I load up Media Express, it says "No Remote". I made sure the Xbox was set to 720p and the Capture rate was set to 720p (59.something) frame capture, but nothing. Toyed with various settings. Even cut out the splitter and plugged the Xbox directly into the capture card's INPUT and the OUTPUT went straight to the TV. That time, neither the TV nor the laptop could get a picture.
Not sure what to try at this point. Any suggestions?
