Hmm... yeah, maybe I should do others first. Well, better get exodus a go to night...

Can't still just believe that the comms room is such a bad bottle neck. Also I'd better check what alarmed the two ultras right before the bridge so I can avoid doing the same mistake again.

There are a couple things that could alarm the cannon room ultras. If there are still enemies in the hangar, including grunts, it will alert them. Also, if your marines survived the hangar and come with you to the cannon room, they will alert the elites almost every time.

Depending on the method you use for the hangar battle, you want to either use grenades to finish off any marines the enemies don't kill, or you want to sprint to the cannon room as soon as all the hangar enemies are down before your marines have a chance to follow.

Well that wasn't the problem this time. I already knew that those things might alert the elites but I checked it from theater and found out that I threw a hologram towards an elite that had retreated to the hallway leading to the cannon room. That hologram was just in the right angle to get past the portable shields and throught the door into the cannon room and then the patrolling elite saw it and thats why they were alerted. Also about the rockets, at the beach area and inside the launch place are three rockets. Shouldn't you get two missiles from each of them?

No. Troopers will usually have either 4 or 3 rockets. With famine on, that is rounded down to 2 or 1 rockets.

It's too funny that you didn't lose as many points for killing the female marine than the male marine. XD

There must be a reasonable, non-sexist explanation for this.

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

I was talking to the dev regarding the mission and received an explanation for the Banshee trick. Remember that pain in the ass trash system on Pillar of Autumn? It does the same to Banshee's apparently. After you activate the jammer, for a few seconds after you jump out of the Banshee, it still registers you as being in a vehicle and the mission figures that the vehicle isn't needed. Interesting...

Tip of the Spear will be this week's release, and hopefully followed by Long Night.

Okay, listen, we should get our stories straight, all right? If anyone asks, and no one's gonna ask, don't worry, but if anyone asks, tell them as far as you know, the last time you checked, everyone looked pretty much alive, all right? Not dead.

Reasoning being? My understanding of Mythic includes ALL skulls to be on, not just the disadvantageous ones. I.E. Envy from Halo 2. Even tilt is advantageous. The second we start excluding certain skulls because their effects are helpful actually confuses others about Mythic difficulty. Yeah bandana might impart a severe advantage to the player, but it is a skull in the game. I wonder how you feel about Halo Wars and Mythic difficulty?

I disagree with that Say you find a rocket launcher with infinate ammo. Yeah that mission is now easy. Even if something takes 3-4 rockets you can take your time and waste as much as needed.

INFINITE AMMO - That's the reason. Even on Easy you have to conserve your ammunition. Not having to makes it a complete joke.

I think 'Legendary, All Skulls but the freaking infinite ammo one' is still pretty simple.

What about using the Infinite Ammo glitch? Or do you think they patched that? They HAD to have, right?

Lol, one more reason for me to not try it. I can't be bothered to learn the Mythic/LASO definition anymore.

Your right Archer. With Halo CEA the definiton gets way too complicated.

I think one week later I'll try right now I'm very weak at PoA right now. I can do most but some places I suck horridly at.

At this point I'm not even really considering CE to have a "true" Mythic Difficulty since most of the skulls seem to be just fun skulls. Not to mention the whole Grunt Funeral skull issue for the people who don't preorder. There really seems to be too many complications to have an actual factual Mythic Difficulty for Halo CE unless the community wants to agree on majority count to keep the definition simple and include ALL skulls.

Thoughts?

If we were going to start picking and choosing skulls for Mythic, then I would have excluded Blind a LONG time ago.

Halo 3 Mythic Conqueror #11
ODST Mythic Conqueror #2
Reach Mythic Conqueror #2
Halo: CEA Mythic Conqueror #1
Halo 4 Mythic Conqueror #1

Edit: Look here for a list of confirmed CEA skulls so far.

Edit 2: Looking at the skulls so far, Bandana practically nullifies the effects of both Famine and Recession; weapons picked up will likely have infinite ammo as well, and the 2x depletion on weapons fired likely won't take effect either. It's possible that infinite ammo may only apply to your starting weapons for the level, but who knows.

Edit 3: Look at this. Going along the rows it looks like the skulls are:
- Iron
- Mythic (It has the same symbol, but from the comments at HaloFest it may be different)
- Unknown (Question Mark; could be anything)
- Recession
- Black Eye
- Fog
- Famine
- Boom
- Bandana
- Grunt Funeral
- Grunt Birthday Party
- Unknown (Candy Wrapper > sweet tooth > 'glutton' for punishment; take more damage maybe?)
- Unknown (A skull with an eye patch; could be black eye, but I'd say it's another skull to do with the HUD.)
- Malfunction

Even if we start trying to do exclusions I'm still leaning towards using every skull regardless of advantage/disadvantage to the player or game breaking tendencies that may come about from certain skulls.

If you guys want to get all 'you can only use this' or 'you can't use that' let me tell you that whilst you're arguing amongst yourselves I'll be making headway through my CEA Mythic journey regardless.
