That being true, I would like to know Jun's whereabouts or something extra about Reach.

In the re-released version of the "Halo: The Fall of Reach" novel, it says that Thel (the arbiter) killed a "demon" who was protecting an important female, and he knew that she must be of key importance, because the demon quickly gave his life for hers.

Ok, I beat Nightfall and WC... which one should I tackle next? I'm thinking Exodus or TotS, but what do you guys recommend?

Which general? The Package or Long Night of Solace? If it's the former, where's this window? If it's the latter, about what are you talking?

If you're looking to do the levels from easiest to hardest, I say you should go for Tip of the Spear.

Haven't played Exodus, but I can't imagine it's easier than Tip. Then again, Exodus has brutes whom I hear are much easier to kill than elites.

But real men jump straight into LONG NIGHT OF SOLACE.

Which reminds me: Legendary smile (if you're still with us, laughing at our struggles), what do you say is harder: Long Night, or Pillar?

P.S. You know the world has gone CRAZY when you've spent your entire day doing homework and when you're finished, there's not enough time for mythic. Crazy, I know!

Actually, as I type this, they're pulling the fourth rescuer out of that mine in chile. His name is Jorge. Hopefully, he'll make it out ok, otherwise I'll feel like such a DICK for leaving my buddy behind on the Covenant corvette.

Not completely accurate.

The future Arbiter was named Thel 'Vadamee. The Elite that killed a Spartan and captured Halsey was named Thel 'Lodamee. Two completely different characters.

Also, the events that they are describing happened in the Legends short "The Package", which predates the fall of Reach.

I'd recommend either TotS or ONI Sword Base. Both are relatively simple, it's just the latter has a rather punishing first encounter.

To everyone else, I've been checking out some different vids and I'm amazed at some of the most obvious solutions some people seem to be missing out on during certain scenarios. I'll leave it at that for now.

Game on, brethren :-)

EDIT: I may have found a bit of a shortcut to use for The Package that will make the final battle MUCH easier. I'll need to do some testing, though, before I roll it out.

Yeah, definatly going TotS. Couldn't find any good weapons with enough ammo to do anything on the first part of Exodus. Any tips on that?

I'm just starting Exodus myself. Here's a tip. The plasma pistol's regular bolts are much more powerful this time around. Given the shear number of them that are available during that mission, I'd highly recommend taking advantage of them.

Aside from chieftans, what are you going to encounter that requires the plasma pistol?

From what I've noticed, players haven't even needed to use plasma pistols against Chieftains. They are mainly used against Grunts and Brute minors to help conserve ballistic ammo for the more complex encounters.

Yes, but Plasma Pistols aren't hitscan, are they? But I've got to admit that they work wonders against Grunts.

For the chieftains I've encountered, I've mainly used 2 sticky grenades to kill them. Sure, a few headshots will take off their helmet allowing you to headshot them, but I just find that if someone is charging at me with a hammer, they're really easy to stick, which saves me some ammo.

I can't imagine the plasma pistol is any help against grunts and brutes (who are unshielded) with the Tilt Skull. Can you knock of a brute's helmet using the plasma pistol? If so, it has my thumbs up for that level.

Can do. When you first land on the corvette and drop down, right underneath the platform, there are two full plasma pistols down there. They prove awesome help against the rangers.

You also get two Famine focus rifles after that battle (you can only take one). If you can use them against the two ultras after that battle, that would be awesome. I'll try it as soon as I can find some time to play.

Which general? The Package or Long Night of Solace? If it's the former, where's this window? If it's the latter, about what are you talking?

The Package. The broken window should be in plain sight once you enter the ruined atrium. A few of the Spec Ops Elites will come out of it, and if you look carefully you can spot the General without using your night vision (if the Engineer is alive, the bright purple glow of his overshields makes him a dead giveaway). He only moves forward when all 6 of the Specs Ops guys are dead and he's not a major problem given that you have Jun, Carter, and Emile to pester him...but killing him with no resistance means he'll drop his Concussion Rifle right near a health pack. Guaranteed full health and shields for the next fight without burning energy off of a 100% Plasma Pistol is nice.

The best time to shoot at him would be after killing the Engineer, which I find is safest after killing 4 of the Spec Ops Elites, because then the last two won't usually come to far forward in the ruined atrium to shoot at you. I'm not sure if I killed him this way in my run, but I'm sure I can find a screenshot in my film that shows me looking at his general direction. Edit: Here we go

Edit: Also, listen to Tyrant about the Plasma Pistol. My first time on Exodus I knew that there wouldn't be enough Magnum ammo to effectively kill Brutes without conserving it. Keep in mind it takes 5 headshots (4 to remove their helmet) and you only have a maximum of 40 rounds reserve. The Plasma Pistol, along with things like the Plasma Rifle and Assault Rifle provide a nice little stun to the Grunts. At a good range you can just keep firing away without them being able to move very much. Start using the Plasma Pistol ASAP on Exodus.

God Exodus is pissing me off. been trying to run it the past couple hours. On my last run, I was having a good time in my falcon, with full shield, when out of nowhere, our falcon gets banshee bombed, from the other side, mind you, so that I didn't even have a chance.

bungie themselves stated that mythic is IMPOSSIBLE you cannot do it

Well then we just proved them wrong, now didn't we?

;-)

Little does Bungie know that the Mythic Community doesn't take "no" for an answer.

Damn right!
Where there's a will there's a way. I'm hoping to do LNoS this weekend, that will take a load off because Exodus should be comparatively easy.

It's definitely not too difficult a mission, but theres a bunch of those "WTF" moments that happen all too often. Like how I mentioned that banshee bomb ealier. There was absolutely no way for me to dodge that or anything. Shenanigans.

wow nice challenge ;D makes campaign experience much more challenging and fun/frustating at times xD I´ve bet it already and what can i say: prepare to die a lot with grenades, suicide grunts, concussion "super fire" wepons (annoying like hell), rampage elites (whatever the rank...they will literally kick your ass around and say insults in their language or just bark a lot)...yes these deserve teabag on the next try xD and them of course comes the super accurate wraith mortars and finnaly but not least...zealots and ultras...my strategie is to kill the first ones with 2 plasma overcharge and 1 headshot(DMR, Magnum,Neddle Rifle, Sniper or grenade) and flank the last one and assassinate him to regain my shield (black eye on xD) because if you try any other way u'll just get tired of spending almost all your bullets on one guy and them getting stuck by his friends or some other bull-blam!- ;D That of course is never apliaed when u hav vehicles at your disposal...tank( beats everything in the wright hands)revenant(can eventualy destroy wraiths, awesome for splaters and very mobile)and the ghost if u wanna bug out in a hurry like a sissy girl xD hope it helped all u crazy dudes like me =)
