You know it.
I need a break from that mission.

Oh and I have to say, thank you Legendary Smile for the help, I probably wouldn't have got that far if it wasn't for you.

Now back to work on TotS. I'm so glad I'm done with Exodus.

I seriously hate this FRG Chieftain on PoA. I never thought I'd miss the times where he came after me and have me trapped. Now he just wants to play hide-and-go-seek.

Speaking of hide-and-go-seek, Hunters like to play that. Without Emile around, I had to trick them in to coming to look for me. Luckily they didn't come around opposite sides of the box to look for me and I got a chance to make a break for it.

Wow. How would you die on the last elite? Don't you just get in a melee dual with him after grabbing a health pack?

Also, what does Legendary smile show any ingenious strategies in his run aside from block off the cannon room door (which I find only slows them down.)?

If by Hologram trick you mean...well...using the Hologram, sure. For the most part I know how to successfully bait each of the Zealots with them.

Also, yes, I have PoA, Exodus, and LNoS left.

One Zealot down. I somehow aggro'd one and he nearly chased me out of the building. I deployed a Hologram at the wrong angle...if I had done it right, he would have come out of the door and gone for it, but oh well.

Edit: 2 down...time to get rid of that Engineer.

Edit 2: Damn Engineer! I caught the FRG guy at an angle where he would let me get rid of his shields, then he made a break for cover. I fired a few shots but he made it over by the Engineer and then poof, he gets shields from the Engineer again. Chances are that it will work twice...I hope.

Edit 3: Different angle, same effect. He's down...but there is still one more, I think...

Edit 4: That last one was hiding. He got a few shots off on me before I booked it. Dual Plasma Rifles, looks like...

Edit 5: We had a stare down and I fired shots at him until he went for cover. I carefully went up the steps, looking around cautiously...grabbed the Sword from the dead Elite...and continued slowly looking around, aware that if I turned any corner and was looking the wrong way, I'd be dead. Then I spotted his shadow. I sent a hologram to stand on one side of his cover, then ran around the other. No assassination, but the sword kept him far enough away to keep me from taking damage in the melee fight. All Elites down. Moment of truth.

Nice Package video Tyrant! I have a few questions about it. Wouldn't it be easier to plasma pistol emp the banshee before jacking it? Aren't you worried that you'll get hit by wraith mortar when you meleeing the driver and the gunner? You're standing right next to the wraith's cannon...

I took a hit from a Phantom early when I was waiting. I should have just gone and EMP'd myself and grabbed a health pack during the wait. I miscounted and got on 3 seconds early...

If I had done both of those two things right, I would have been able to barely pull the two shots off.

Edit: *looking at stats* My death was caused by a Banshee. The feeling of defeat is...not pleasant, I'll say that much, but this doesn't seem as bad as what I remember feeling on Coastal Highway. I should do some training, though.

Aww, no! You spent forever playing that level and struggled with those elites at the end, only to die to a Phantom! EDIT: I mean Banshee!

What are you doing? Are you staying in the gun to fight the phantoms or are you jumping in the gun, jumping out and hiding on the stair case until the dramatic music?

I empathize with you, but I'm amazed on how reserved your message of failure is. To see what I expected, look at jew man man's LNOS failure post.

To people who've completed LNOS: What do you recommend after the hangar: the drop shield or hologram? I'm thinking hologram for those two elites after Jorge lands and then drop shield for the rest of the way.

I stayed on the staircase and counted the seconds. I recalled from my previous bit of testing it was 30 seconds until "Steady Spartan!" after hopping in the gun and 1 minute after hopping in the gun your window of opportunity opens. I counted 3 seconds to get in the gun and be able to fire, so as soon as I counted 57 in my head...well. I moved to the gun and hopped on. I fired a shot and nothing really happened...then a few seconds later Keyes gives me the message, I start to charge and then I died.

As for my reaction, well, that's just how I am. I don't get frustrated very easily...the only time a mission has ever started getting to me was Coastal Highway.

I should do some testing on the timing or something...maybe see if I can shoot it out...maybe find a safer place to wait.

I think the window to fire after Keyes gives you the order is a bit larger than people think it is. You should just wait for the dramatic music before hopping in or use a stopwatch. I find that counting in your head (well at least mine) is unreliable, especially when you're stressed like at the end of the POA.

My toothbrush stutters every thirty seconds telling me to change quadrants in my mouth, so I count ten seconds per tooth side. I'm usually a few seconds short or long, rarely never right on the money.

Don't feel too down Vince, hell, the same thing happened to me so I know how you feel.

Some advice that may help:
- obviously don't bother getting in the mass driver straight away
- send out a decoy hologram when you are told to fire, it can attract the enemies attention for a precious few seconds
- know exactly when to fire; that's what screwed me over because I didn't know when I could actually fire. To clarify, what is Noble 6 doing when you try firing? Is he actually climbing the ladder or in the cockpit? There's your hint.

You should be golden for PoA now anyway. I've got to get around to finishing it myself, just haven't had the time.

I have had some funny moments playing PoA today, though. Situation: room with 3 Elites. Two are dead, and I'm searching around the bottom area for the 3rd. I turn a corner and he's right there, on the move, apparently looking for me. He shouts at me and I send out a Hologram after jumping away. The Elite runs forward and the Hologram goes through him. He looks at me for about two seconds...and turns around to hit the Hologram. I smack him on the back and mutter "You are stupidest Elite I have ever met." Dual-wielders never fall for that.

Edit: I also got to play Brute-Go-Boom. That was fun. For added "boom", I gave them some help with the Grenade Launcher.

Good questions.

For whatever reason, whenever I stand on that particular rooftop, the Banshees make it extremely easy for me to simply boost up and hijack. EMP-ing it means risking having it fall to the ground and either bounce or force me to engage with the ground units. As long as you're careful, it should work nearly every time.

And so far I've never been blasted by the Wraith's main gun while "cleaning it out". That said, if you move just a little too far to the side, the secondary gunner will pwn you.

Dammit! Died on the last two ultras of LNOS! I'm really pissed!

What makes me even more pissed is that I had a lot of really lucky breaks. For example, I got the general in the bridge to stay still, I survived an encounter with one of the two elites in the second wave in the bomb where I was sure I was going to die.

I meleed two elites, a plasma launcher and a concussion rifle. The other concussion rifle elite charged me.

-blam!- -blam!-!

Originally I killed the Elite so I could drop off the Revenant, then backtrack to get the Ghost too, but you can just easily skip the Elite and Ghost retrieval and stick with the Revenant.
