Hello, Community!
Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!
Best Regards,
The Tyrant

Also, is it just me or does the jetpack sometimes either give out a little too early or not always reach max height? I've made note of a few occasions where there are a couple of jumps I can usually make, but other times it's as if the jetpack hits some sort of invisible ceiling.
The max height you can achieve with the jetpack is linked to the speed you're going at at the time of activation. You can get some pretty crazy height by linking it with grenade jumps or some other launch. For example: some HIH guys used a concussion rifle, a banshee, and a jetpack to launch themselves ONTO one of those frigates that you see in Tip of the Spear.
The activation isn't as simple as you might think though; its not 'jump then immediately activate jetpack', there is a slight pause after you jump which you must wait in order to get maximum height.

Mythic Exodus complete.
Did you do anything different? Apart from the Wraith thing; after I did The Package a few days ago I've been using the Wraith there too.
I've had a couple of goes at Exodus recently and I'm still getting stupid deaths. Kinda frustrating.
Bungie, I love you, but seriously, the plastic physics have been fail for the last four games. Please use something other than the BS Valve produced!
Just so you know, Havok have nothing to do with Valve as far as I know. Also the behaviour is highly customisable and almost entirely up to the design team.
Also: halo 1 physics were awful. 'hogs sliding everywhere, insta-death the moment you touch a friendly with a vehicle. weird bounciness with everything.
Oh, and I 12 skulled New Alexandria (no blind) for fun and did it first try. You guys should try this level, its no where near as frustrating as Exodus :P
I have a technique involving the Wraith that makes the last area of Exodus VERY EASY as well as SHORT. The catch, though, is that you have a window of opportunity to execute this tactic and due to the Wraith getting stuck, I missed the window on the run above. I'll try to redo it tonight, but here are some other things I've been doing differently that I haven't seen yet.
During the first major skirmish, right before the Phantoms arrive, I've been grabbing the full Needler from the crate up top and been using it to make short, effortless work of the Hammer Captains. Two straight super-combines and they're dead.
Next, when you meet the Fuel Rod Chieftain, you can actuakly position yourself on the stairs so that you can simply peg him to death with the plasma pistol and he won't move or shoot back. Don't get me wrong. I really like Legendary's method of jumping down with the hammer, but this A) requires you to kill everything else first unless you want to get scarred by plasma, and B) you run the risk of taking a fuel rod at near point blank range.
And thanks for the info regarding Havoc, though it still irritates the sh** out of me :-P

Well, I've got Tip of the Spear down.
I have finalized my analysis on how to despawn the wraiths-
After reaching the Revenant, boost past the first group of enemies, and drop into the canyon. Kill the 3 jackals there (needle rifle makes it easy) and then back up and proceed to launch mortars at the AA gun from the ground beneath the cliff you dropped off of. After it blows up, you'll see a pelican drop off marines. At this moment, move your Revenant to the LEFT of the rocky structure in front of you, until you see your screen show a slight loading screen (your screen will freeze for a second). Then, immediately drive back and go around the RIGHT side of that rocky structure. This will cause the wraiths to despawn. If one of the wraiths (usually the far left one) didn't despawn, simply go back around the rocky structure to the left, and go a bit further that you did before, and then boost back around the right side.
Doing this strategy will rid you of the wraiths, saving you a good bit of time, and saving you the danger they pose.

I had the same problem on exodus. It's such a *facepalm* moment when you go underneath the platforms and at the last jump you go up and die because the jetpack was lazy :~(
Yeah, I'm still not sure I get that entirely. I realize that jumping gives you extra lift, but sometimes it doesn't. I've timed a full jetpack to work for about 4 seconds with a 6 second recharge time. But sometimes it loses altitude before it hits that 4 second mark.
It is very important to be holding forward and jump when you jetpack to gain maximum height, otherwise, your jetpack will not carry you as high.
Thanks for the tips!
After I rerun Exodus and then conquer New Alexandria, I'll give this a whirl.
