How would you go about skipping the trigger of the enemies coming out that door? They aren't hard to kill anyway, it would probably take longer trying to clip through the door than just fighting and killing them all. Three or four Grunts are easy enough. Then an Ultra which can be killed in a few ways, either knocking him down or killing him from below in my case.
Well, excuse me for trying to be progressive. I was under the impression that no enemies=good.
This reminds me: I did once, somehow, skip the spawn for the Hunters, Skirmishers, Jackals, Sword Elite, Ultra and Grunts just beyond the smelting room on PoA, during an attempt at an Easy speedrun. But, as mentioned, it locks the door out of the second, sword elite, smelting room. Which practically ends the mission unless someone can figure out a way through that door without the enemies being there.
I am wondering why the elite isn't affected by the Tilt Skull; the DMR should do no damage against his shields.
Oh he still is. It takes a good couple of clips to kill him. Tilt doesn't negate the damage entirely, just reduces it by a bunch. And fortunately the spec-ops Elites' shields are weak enough that you can kill then with a reasonable amount of fire.

I'm so pissed. After lasering the shade turrets, I went on the catwalk to go look through the hole in the roof to see if the elites had spawned. I stuck my head up for literally one second and the elite there thew an über fast grenade which stuck to me.
Lol, exact same thing happened to me once. The trigger for them is about 3/4 along the bridge. You should notice a slight hitch as it does the loading. Looking in through the sky-light is just an extra precaution.

Died trying to jump through the window with the hunters.
I can't get through that thing for the life of me. How do you guys do it so easily?
Turn of toggle crouch. I find that setting makes it much harder to nail crouch-augmented jumps.

I died on the plasma launcher chieftain wave again. At that point, the game isn't testing my skill; it's testing my endurance. It takes me fifty minutes to get from the start of the mission to the last wave of the landing pad. I'm just tired. If it was the middle of the day and I was well rested, I would have gotten it for sure.
To people who've beaten POA: For the last wave, what targets should I prioritize? I usually supercombine the brute minors the second they drop down on top of the building, since they won't flinch. After that, I look for the fuel rod grunt. Then, I move up a bit trying to kill the chieftan with plasma pistol+needle rifle. Should I choose different targets? Is this a good order? Should I kill a few captains before moving on the chieftan?
The PL Launcher Chieftian himself is a bit useless. He's no real threat. If theres anything else in range thats shooting you, hit that first.

Does anyone have a sound strategy for the focus rifle Elites on Long Night?
PPing them from behind the ramped wall on the left side has worked every time for me. Should have more than enough ammo unless you're firin' off overcharges everywhere.
