The team mates turning on you would be good game design; because they don't, it's bad game design.
Logically, this doesn't work. You're assuming that the only good design option would be to have teammates turning on you and arguing that it's bad design because that is not what happens.
I'm not disagreeing with your point that it would be better design to have your teammates turn on you rather than spontaneously combusting, just pointing out fallacious logic. File this under the same kind of thing where you cringe every time Tyrant improperly uses the word "literally."
LOL. So much for clarifying my ideas.
Well, when you isolate it like that, of course it sounds stupid. I was trying to clarify a point, this was not taken to be an argument. RC Master thought that I thought that your teammates turn on you and he also thought that I thought that that was bad game design which was the betrayal system in past Halo games. (that's what she said!).
That was confusing. The point is, I only said that to correct a misunderstanding between me and RC Master; it was not an argument (for an argument, read my post on multiplayer and feel free to pick out fallacies). I was basically saying, "This is what I think; this is NOT what I think.": I'm saying "You minunderstood me RC Master, I think it's good game design to for your teamates to seak retribution; therefore, by default, I think it's bad game design for you to drop dead." (note that I did not explain why I think this). I was not saying, "It's good game design for your teamates to turn on you. Therefore, it's bad game design for you to drop dead." because of course, if I did that, it would be begging the question.
I hope this makes a bit more sense.
And the "literally" thing is different. Tyrant is saying "literally" when he means "figuratively". He's saying one thing, when he means completely the opposite.
