Congratulations, CBTrigg! Welcome to the club, your T-shirt is in the mail! :P

Oh, and guys? Don't feed the trolls. They'll just keep coming back.

The only good troll is a cave troll. ;)

Really? I thought if you fed the trolls, they stopped harassing you for food. I'll try your theory from now on.

How cool would that be; Bungie gets a new shirt in their store only purchasable by Mythic Conquerors. Of course, that would never happen; it's not profitable.

It would be if we were all required to buy at least 50.

Or if it cost $40 per shirt.

Bad News: Campaign Progress has reset, can't be bothered to play through again.

Good News: I purchased Bungie Pro, so I can finally fill out the films I want.

I'm now playing a lot of Score Attack, time to get some High Scores. Eli; how the hell did you get over 12k points on Corvette Gruntpocalypse?
Might set up a small competitive thread in the private group based around the Score Attack records if people want.

I would definitely be up for that. If you start a thread, count me in. Hass

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,

Same thing happened to me yesterday. WTF Bunglez?! This is getting a bit ridiculous. Fortunately, Long Night is still unlocked, which means I can continue to work on it without beating all the missions prior.

When the Mythic guide is finished, I'll be taking a break from Reach for awhile...

Ordinarily I would agree with not feeding trools, but the Mythic thread's awesomeness seems to deterr the same one from ever coming back...

The Mythic Threads (Halo 3) (ODST) (Reach)

Nice job CBTrigg!

My next mission will probably not be done in a while. Doesn't matter though, I don't care about placement that much, all it really means is how committed you are, at least for me it does...I'm sure I would've gotten a lot of things done if I didn't care about the important crap in my life.

Yeah, just not really pushing myself for Mythic currently; Reach offers a lot and people want to play MP or Firefight so I typically only attempt Mythic at weekends, even then only once or twice a day.
Basically I'm taking Reach at a similar pace to Halo 3 except that I have basic strategies in place for Reach. On the other hand I totally no-lifed ODST lol.

BTW; I don't like the Jetpack skip on Exodus, the method itself is simplicity incarnate but the every tiem I've made it that far the Brutes and Grunts nade me as soon as I land and by that point my run will be passing thirty minutes so I don't really want to just do it all over again straight away. Any alternatives? Is fighting that section feasible?

I cleared that area solo on the co-op run I did with Gazas. He was away for ages so I decided to clear it out. It is possible, easily. Just takes a bit of time and ammo. Stay way back on the broken platforms and pick them off. You can get majority of them from there before moving up.

What part are you talking about? The last stage before the Falcons? Instead of jetpacking across the huge gap, wait for the phatom to leave & pick off the grunts/jackals. Then go to that column on the right before you go down the stairs. Jetpack up to one of the sections in the center, then jetpack up to fight the last stage. That's what I did because jetpacking that huge gap was frustrating as hell.

I think only a couple of waves of them come. Though each wave will circle a couple of times. Then you'll be left alone.

At the bridge in Long Night. What the hell am I supposed to do about the General? I was told he would eventually get stuck or go into crouch. It's been 20 minutes and neither has occured, so I think we can nix the eventuality thing as a theory...

During one of my failed stealth attempts, I was able to assassinate him by making him dance to my Needle Rifle. I failed the next time I had to try, though. I couldn't get him to dance as easily and ended up getting punched in the face.

I'm shaking right now, for two reasons. One, I have a lot of anxiety, and also because it's 17 degrees outside. Tyrant, so far your words are coming true. I'm on a real run, (3rd time past comm room)and I'm at the bridge(farthest i've been). I'm wondering wether I should attempt to assassinate them all, or play it 'safe' and only get the general. If I finish the bridge, I'm essentially home free ( I protects the pelican gun w/ boxes.

The General killed me. I have no idea what we need to do to get him. If I run in there to assassinate just him, everything else goes crazy. If I screw up the assassinations, then I have to deal with him as is. At this point I'm stumped. Needle Rifle sounds like the best idea. It wouldn't be as bad if I had shields. At least then I could attempt to dance with him, but with no shields, you'd die.

I honestly think that this is the last real obstacle in the mission. If we can find an easy way to kill the general, it's in the bag.

Contrary to others' beliefs. He won't always get stuck or go into crouch. I waited for 45 minutes before finally deciding it wasn't worth it anymore to keep waiting.

[UNINTELLIGIBLE > INSUBORDINATION(?)]

Right now, my general is walking around, which complicates things. Sometimes he is standing right above the left side of the room, which is an easy assassination

I've found on practice runs that breaking grunts neck closest to around the globe will occasionally leave the other elites unaware. I'm considering trying that now.

Dang it.... I just realized how complicated this is going to be. The area where it is usually safe the general if he is pacing us blocked by a grunt at the controls... Maybe I can assassinate him....

I'm so hesitant to do anything, I'm too afraid I'll get screwed.

Uh-oh. I'm in a sticky situation. I killed the grunt by the control so I could get the general, but I alerted everybody. I fell back to the gunner room. Tips?

None. I'm in the same situation and NO ONE seems to have a valid tactic against an alert General...

I'm shooting from the hallway, and, it seems that no elites are 'allowed' to come into the hallway, even enemies with melée weapons like the sword guy. This could prove useful....

Fyi - I have been killed by the sword guy in the hall before, but the main challenge in the room remains to be the general. I don't know what can be done about him. If you shoot him too many times with the needle rifle, he goes into armor lock and recharges his shields. And if you don't have any shields, you can't win a melee fight against him.

The only possible win I could see here is taking out ALL of the enemies in the room without losing your shieds, then somehow being able to close the gap between you and the general to win in a melee fight.
