Am I the only one that thinks you should get some major credits for making it through campaign with all those skulls? It pisses me off playing solo doesn't pay anything and co-op is full of idiots. Why not give people more incentive to play with skulls besides the random daily challenges?

I agree. Maybe not all the time, but every so often, the weekly challenge could be "complete level x on Mythic" with an award from 50,000 to 100,000 cr or another appropriate amount.

I can't believe how good you are at Campaign if you're color-blind! Maybe being color-blind gives you your talent! I need to find out how to become color-blind, maybe using this- OH MOTHER -blam!- THAT BURNS!

Correlation, not causation. :P

Color-blindness is the only bad thing about being a male; females have so many exclusive diseases that are worse.

Long Night of Mythic is over!!!! Just over an hour. http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=122819 79&player=Nak3d%20Eli

The 2 ultras before the control room were alerted and I had to PP them to death, but I successfully assassinated everything but 2 grunts in the control room to make up for it.

The pelican blasting took a loooong time on the last elite before the Four Elites of Goofpocalypse, if not for him could have gotten it under an hour. Oh well.

IT'S OVER!!!! I'm blasting Stereo Love right now, and it has never sounded better.

AND my g/f just got back from Mexico, so it will indeed be a long night of solace and something else ;)

kl;as;kjlsafdjklads;adls;jl;YEEEESSSSS just PoA to go!

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

I laughed at both Eli's and your post.

I myself had a long night yesterday ;)

It's not what you think though, I just stayed up all night playing Halo. I did New Alexandria without Iron and got 5 deaths, all at the same place, while trying to skip the Ranger Elites. I'll be fighting them instead. I also need to know the locations with Blind but I'll get it down, after all I've already done this mission with Dark once.

Good man. Why chance it when you can kill them with ease?

Y'know, for some reason, Rangers are my favorite Elites in Reach. I think it's because of Bobs.

I should seriously get around to PoA on Mythic. Usually after the challenges I don't feel like playing during the rest of the day.

I did have something interesting happen the other day. The Concussion Rifle Elite at the beginning of PoA launched off the cliff somehow, similar to how at the beginning of the Ark in the AA gun area you'd every now and then just see a Grunt or a Brute go randomly flying off a cliff. Not as extreme of a launch as that, but it was kind of startling to see an Elite go flying past me and off a cliff.

Mine too actually, but it's because of their weak shields.

At the night segment before Data Hive I saw a Brute fly out of nowhere and smash into a building, losing his shields. I don't even know what's causing those things to happen.

EDIT: Tyrant, are you literally color-blind as you said in Twitter? If yes, what is that like?

I am indeed. For me, some colors blend very easily with others and they become extremely difficult to distinguish. The bugger caves in PoA drive me nuts every time because I get lost very easily...

Amen, man. I have more of an issue with certain colors registering. For example, I'm always at a disadvantage fighting red team because it takes me an extra split-second to notice something if it's red.

My Tips To Reach 50!
In-Game Lessons
Mythic Conqueror of Halo 3 (#16) & Reach (#14)
Onyx Top 1% - #6 in the world (S4), #9 (S5)
Given Recon by Bungie June, 2009.

Hey guys, long time no talk. Been crazy busy with Arena, and sadly took a detour from Mythic. Although, I come back triumphant. In case you didn't get my message, the ratings for Season 4 of Arena are out, and not only did I place as Top 1% of ONYX, but I also scored as #7 in the world according to Halo Charts.

I see there have been many more Conquerors since I took my vacation. Congrats to all who have made it through!

I'm going to start back up where I left off. I have Long Night of Solace and Pillar of Autumn left. Any suggestions on which I should do first?

Btw, I wants multi.

Shadow, you still need to teach me how to spank noobs in Halo. We never did that in Halo 3!

And If I did PoA first then I'd have an easier mission to end it all with. In my opinion, LNoS is pretty easy, although it might be a little random, it's still not that bad. Sure cutscenes will mess with you and all but..

It sounds like you're improving; good job! I remember how much you were complaining about it earlier. Didn't LNOS put your Mythic journey on hiatus?

I complained about it too; my complaints still stand.

5th Mythic Conqueror of ODST.
If you would like to know more about Mythic difficulty please go to this thread. Thank you.

Please do not send me "recruitment messages" as I'm not interested in joining any groups currently.

When playing Exodus for the Jetpack challenge the other day I noticed that there's a much safer way of getting past the cargo port.
Basically you kill the first wave of enemies and then there are some likely looking pipes on the left which allow you to fly straight to were you'd normally resurface but the pesky Concussion Rifle wielding Brute and his friends won't spawn.

I might actually try Mythic again now that I won't be relying on luck at that point. :-)

#1 Legendary ODST Firefight Highscore

[UNINTELLIGIBLE > INSUBORDINATION(?)]

I haven't been doing attempts at LNoS recently. Too distracted with super long firefight games (6 hr+). my goal is 10M (20 hr), but my most recent game was a big bummer because it was game over 7000 points from a skull milestone. >:(.

LNOS didn't. School did, and it still is.

What I hated about LNOS was the cutscenes and the random deaths. Before the Corvette part I just randomly exploded without crashing. Once when I put down a Drop Shield, a Grunt threw a grenade at it, it bounced off and landed on my foot while I tried to run away from the area (didn't know there was a grenade there). Also at the end, I got splattered by a create.

It's not that bad now, I also completed it together with Dark once and we did it in one day I think.

EDIT: Thanks for the 'improving' bit. :)

Halo Reach Mythic Conqueror

Hello all,

I was inspired by Tyrant's tutorials to try mythic, I beat the first 4 missions relatively easily and for the past few weeks have been trying Long Night of Solace. Well I finally beat it tonight!

Definitely the toughest Mythic mission Reach has to offer. Welcome to the ranks, kid! Keep it up!

I saw that! And gratz bro! Definitely an honor to have such a high ranking Arena juggernaut among out Mythic ranks :-)

Long Night is the more difficult of the two, mainly due to the lack of cheap skips and tricks you can use to get through the mission. If you want to get that one out of the way first, you'll probably enjoy PoA a little more. Then again, it can also be very pressing for it to ALL come down to the Mass Driver. Your choice! :-)

And yea, I wants multi too. As soon as the two guides are done, I'll take a break before starting up the ODST Legendary guide.

Np!

Haha yeah, but then I got the respect for completing my first mission!

I miss the days where it took a person a week or two to complete one mission + spending tons of hours per runs. Halo 3 on Mythic really felt next to impossible. Of course now we've kicked it so much while it laid down that it became easy as hell. :P
