Look at it this way, Gazas; everyone who forms a working strategy for a level creates a pathway for those who follow. It's not just Pahat who lead the way in Halo 3, because his strategies and techniques weren't the only ones we used. The Mythic community as a whole made the path (the guide).
...plus every game has its own version of Pahat; the 1st conqueror of that game. Pahat in Halo 3, myself in ODST, and Legendary Smile in Reach.
...now if we just had a fourth Halo game with Mythic possible, and you took all the 1st conquerors from the past campaigns, that would be my ideal vision of Team Mythic, but given that Pahat is kind of a recluse, I think we could go with the 2nd conqueror from Halo 3...after all, its weird to have Team Mythic without Tyrant...or without me, for that matter, since I've been in each iteration as well.
While we're reminiscing about the past, though, I remember when I began Mythic. I was so psyched when I cleared my second mission (Halo) and got to Cortana and came face to face with the dreaded Tank Form! No sarcasm. Back at the time, Tyrant and Starocean pretty much advised to avoid them like the plague.
But me being...well, me, and going by the experiences I'd had with them on Legendary figured "the Sword works well on Legendary and is a one hit kill, so it would follow that it is also still the most effective weapon against them on Mythic." So I tried it and got my technique down and posted about it only to be treated like a madman. I exaggerate, of course, but Tyrant and Starocean just didn't believe it could be so simple. So I provided a clip and the idea of using the sword against Tank Forms became the means of fighting them off.
And after that, Tank Forms went from...well, they pretty much got a similar drop in difficulty that the Four God Elites of the Apocalypse received. This kind of process repeated itself over time in Halo 3.
Tyrant: Don't do it, Vince! It's a Hammer Chieftain!
Vincent: I've got this...I can assassinate him. I've done it plenty of times.
Tyrant: *sighs in frustration*
Chieftain: BLARGH! *swing and a miss, whacked in the back*
Vincent: ...told you.
Sierra 117 completed on Dual-Mythic.
When we think back about it now, it seems so simple. Why didn't we think of it sooner? Now Hammer Chieftains are a joke...well, not as much in Reach. The old tactic resurfaces in Reach, although using the Needle Rifle and Plasma Pistol totally takes the cake for approach against a Chieftain.
