Not meant in a trolling way but I've seen all your guides for Halo 3 and ODST and isn't it a bit "cheap" basically dodging as much as you can? On Heroic you fight through, on legendary you fight through, on mythic shouldn't you do the same?
I can answer that for you!
Back in the days, we used to fight through...on Mythic. A mission usually took us 1-2 hours and longer missions could take 2-3 hours. However, now when we've done that, we want to spice it up by getting faster runs and such...not only that, we found these skipping methods a little late, which is why we used to fight through, and now when we know these methods, we might as well use them. You say that you fight through on Heroic on Legendary...do you? :) I only do that when I want to get in to the story but if there's a challenge where I have to complete a mission on Legendary, I want to do it as fast as I can and take the easiest routes. I probably don't do it on my first playthrough ever but if it happens to be hard as hell, I might search for skipping routes. However, Legendary has never been that hard so...
Not to mention that there are some stages in Reach, when set to Mythic, are unbeatable by fighting your way through. The main reason for this is mianly because there isn't enough ammo. The main thing I believe that screws you over when it comes to fighting shielded enemies is the freaking tilt skull. So you have to find some famine induced plasma pistol. I firmly believe that the Mythic difficulty was designed to force you to find a way around or past certain parts without shooting your way through. This kind of adds another dimension to the gameplay because most people would only try to shoot their way through the stages. This difficulty requires a certain amount of stealth.
