Game Stops everywhere are allegedly getting their mits on these Halo 2 Strategy Guides on or around Oct 26th. And get this...the guide cost $25. A little high for a strategy guide, unless it comes out before the game and crazed fans will pay anything for a glimpse.

Sorry, but you theory is incorrect. For example, the corridinates 43.0726, -89.3986 are right on the University of Wisconsin Campus (I live right by it and went to school there). These coordinates are almost right on the University Book Store, which does not sell video games of any kind. The coordinates 43.0748, -89.3978 are almost right next to the bookstore and are pretty much in the middle of a small area between the bookstore and the library where food stands are set up. I don't think game stores have anything to do with these numbers.

HOLY -blam!-! I am a Junior at the University of Wisconsin. There is a shop next door to the bookstore called Digital Outpost which sells games for PC and Xbox. This is proof enough for me.

Given the precision of these coordinates, I would think that they would be right on instead of across the street. Also, are you sure that the Digital Outpost sells Xbox games? Last time I checked, they did not. Not to mention, how do you explain the other coordinate that is near by?

There are two versions of the guide. One comes with a DVD and is $25.00. The standard guide is $14.99. Both are scheduled for release on the 25th of October.

Actually, I just checked with the Digital Outpost, and they DO NOT sell Xbox games. They sell computer software and other electronics, but no video games.

Hmmm...that is pretty interesting. There aren't nearly as many university bookstores as there are video game stores. The probability of randomly hitting several of them can't be that high (although it is possible). Interesting.

I was surprised when I saw a sign on the window saying they had software for Xbox, so I went in to investigate. Sure enough, they had a full isle of Xbox games.

Actually there is, one of the points that I looked up was pretty close if not in Atlanta.

Wow...they must not have updated their website, because it has no mention of xbox games at all. Ignore my other post then.

I checked my local San Diego Ltd. and Long. Cords. and they have no relevance to Game stores. Game stores might be nearby, but I could easliy say 7-Eleven Convenient stores are closest or they point to McDonalds. Three poointed to roughly the same area, and one pointed to a War Memorial by the ship yard far away from any commercial buildings.

Strategy Guides are usually always released a couple weeks before the game.

All I found from entering a quarter of the points is that there are a hell of a lot in Maryland and New York, and there are about 9 in Washington state. There are some randomly placed ones in the middle of the country, and there are two in Southern California.

Yeah...game guides do come out early, but OVER 2 WEEKS EARLY?
Not usually. Usually a guide might come out a week before the game.
