I give up. Your counterpoints are so illogical that it gives me a headache trying to explain. Heres my last comment on this thing, why would 343 GS want to destroy Humanity for now reason? Theres no flood at all there. Unless he thought it was funny to go to Halo 03 and send the flood to earth, just so he could destroy it, they're is no reasonable answer.

Secondly, 343 GS doenst have hands. He couldnt do a thing even if he saw a different Halo's index.

And the forerunners were probably alive before Humanity. Humans aint that old chum. The programmed (keyword) a machine (keyword) to do whatever (keyword) it took to stop the flood. A machine has to obey its programming.

And with that I never psot here again. Off to thinking about Halo 2..

good point. but I think Guilty Spark can find someone else "qualified" he also desperatly wanted the index back for some purpose maybe there are other indexes on the other halos. myabe 343 was lying and wanted to trick MC into activating it.
Bond: sorry to see you go. 343 GS does want to destroy ALL life (the flood's food) 343 GS did mention something about all intelegent life, not just any life.

erm, the flood may well appear in Halo 2 (personally i hope they don't... the library level was the lowpoint of a fantastic game)

but Guilty Spark 343 will not return, at best he will be mentioned. If you look at Bungie's outtakes page for Halo 2 they mention that GS 343 is not in the game, and that they were originally planning a cameo for him but scrapped it (u can listen to the audio file for this, very funny)

oh, I guess even Bungie isn't worried about the Flood (maybe). They did leave it wide open and made sure to show 343 out and about

After the library when MC finally gets the Index 343 GS takes it from him.
Um, my point is that GS is quite capable of handling himself in near any situation.

Story line wise, does anyone know if the flood will make an apperance (if so how big)? I hope it is a little more than just a scene at the end. They have to do something with them.

the flood are going to be in halo2 about as much as they were in halo 1.

kinda like the covenant in halo2 are there as much as they were in halo1. and you. AI, thats another story. thats the part that varies a lot. expect some new AI, probably the GS from instalation X, wherever we go to. or some other random AI. maybe the covennat will get an AI, ala marathon. or the Flood. but whatever goes, the flood will be there and way cooler.
