Subject: The DLC sucks.

I mean atleast we got Foundry and Sandbox for Forge. But the DLC in this game has introduced several maps that are probably the worst maps in the game.

If you ask people for their opinion on the worst map in the game, almost all of them think it is one of the ones in the DLC. Standoff is a common answer. And so is Orbital.

What really pisses me off is when Bungie tries to make a faithful remake of one of the classic maps from CE or H2, and end up completely destroying a perfectly good map. Anvalanche is a prime example of just that. I mean, I see that Bungie was trying to make that map a map more for vehicular action. But does completely taking away the infantry element on the map, and reducing this Sidewinder remake to a third of it's original size sound faithful? In my opinion, no. No it does not. Cold Storage is another prime example. Chill out was one of the best maps ever made. But Cold Storage, being a remake of it, did not have a shocking outcome for me at all. Also, an entirely forgable map like foundry and sandbox sounds like something that should of came with the game in the first place.

In the end, the DLC just seems lame and not worth it.
Discuss.

I'm not making excuses. I never claimed to be good. I have never played any colonel better than me though.

Some of them were pretty good to play on, but by no means were they truly competitive maps. Most of them were pretty bad though.

Halo Reach!!!!

The Sandbox was fun and Standoff, Ghost Town and the Midship Remake are good maps.

Greatest game ever.
Ranked Perfection

Sandbox, Standoff, Heretic, Citadel, Longshore, and Foundry (Base) were all good maps. However, I can see your point that most of the worst maps were DLC. Epitaph is still my all time most hated map in the game though.

I've made it my life goal to never become too stressed. So if I appear to be doing nothing all the time and generally never working particularly hard on any task, that's my plan in action.

The only ones I cared about was Foundry, Standoff, Avalanche, Sandbox and Heretic.

Check my fileshare, one of the best snipers in the game (according to others not me) and another 5 star in snipes get steaked running 3s 50 high on HighGround. Honestly you just have to know how to set up on the maps. I do dislike certain maps but I challenge myself to get better at them rather than say they suck

That... is completely untrue.

I'm not saying this solely to disagree, but those are my two absolute favorite maps in Halo 3. But don't go saying 'oh EVERYBODY thinks these maps are bad' when a vast majority of the community thinks the other way.
:/

You are not a majority. I'm in the majority as evidenced by the hundreds of 'whats the worst map' threads when near nobody says either of the two you pointed out there.

I AM DONE linking my gamertag. I'm sick of people constantly following me and giving me their goddamn opinion about every game I play.

Get a life and stop following me.

Best maps in the game are Avalanche, Standoff (not heavies), Longshore, and Valhalla.

Some maps do make me groan almost all the time. Isolation just feels yucky, but the concept is that it's a massive King of the Hill map. and hell I still don't like it even though I got a FFA rampage on that map... 1 awesome game out of a bunch of "ew... yuck" games.

Ghost Town never feels good to me. The idea is great, but it feels a lot like foundry, there's "safe zones" unless your willing to compromise all chances of getting a kill for camping.

Foundry is never fun, but some of the variants have been interesting. Namely some of the Bungie Day variants.

Sandbox is... well some of the variants are ok, but it's never one I'd skip for joy to play on. There's just too much field on the map, and not enough larger cover. There's always something to duck your head behind, but you can never advance without being spotted.

Narrows I just hate. Probably because the map lays out again for a king of the hill mosh pit. Same deal with cover, you can duck your head, but you can't make a solid push.
