Just downloaded the newest Ghost Recon: Island Thunder map today - "City".
This is the 12th downloadable map that Ubi has provided to it's GR fans for free.
I'd like to know if Halo2 will be seeing the same (or better) support in the form of downloadable multiplayer maps for Halo2?

On a further note (and I'm sure this info is top secret right now), will there be user-created maps up for download, or an HEK(I think that's the PC acronym)-type utility available to PC modders for XBOX map creation?

Thanks.

Counter-strike only has 2 that I know of. Although I was just on one the other day I've never seen. I'm sure Halo 2 will have some created after the game is ready to ship and they'll make them for download - hopefully free. I don't know about user-created ones. That would kinda turn me off if they were all stupid and pathetic.

Content download is still to be announced, but it's almost guaranteed that there will be support. As for a PC tool for Xbox maps, I hope so - console modding tools are rubbish!

I'm just looking for some kind of confirmation that Halo2 will have the kind of DL content support it and we deserve.
There possibly might not be a Halo3; who knows what's up next for Bungie.
Even if there is, it could be another 3-4 years before we see it.
I don't want to be out in the non-Halo content cold, conceivably for years.
Been there, done that. (no Halo 1.5 we were hoping for last year.)

This will be the ultimate Live flagship. MS/Bungie should go full throttle with the after-release DL support. Release a PC Halo2 map maker utility, and let the fans create some of the content. All MS needs to do is test and certify it.

I just don't want to see another supposed DL content Live game, getting the RTCW treatment. Especially Halo2.
