I have Halo 2 PC and I can't get the nameplate. Do I have to have the original Halo CE?

RIP Halo 2: November 9, 2004-May 10, 2010
I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

Halo 2 PC does not work for a nameplate, on Halo PC. Halo 2 PC had nothing to do with Bungie, that's why you don't get anything for owning it.

Im talking about the nameplate on Reach.

Understood. You must have Halo: CE (Halo 1) in order to gain the custom nameplate in Reach.

Word it properly.

You need to buy Halo 1 for PC, and the CD Key that comes with it will be your unlock code for Flair and for playing the Halo 1 game on PC.

Halo 1 Custom Edition is a free add-on for Halo 1 PC users, where mods are supported by the game.

Halo: CE is Halo 1: Combat Evolved for Xbox1.

Don't confuse any.

That's disappointing, given that their name is on the box/disc and in the game...

(I also thought Bungie.net used to show stats/achievements from Halo 2 PC, but I can't find any sign of that now, and the Wayback Machine is busted at the nonce.)

Nor Bungie or Microsoft care to acknowledge the existance of Halo 2 PC, due to the epic fail it is.
They know why, but won't bother.
