What's the issue here?

The xboxs or the discs?

Oh god don't be the disks. Reach is the first game I didn't get a warranty on.

That I wanted to get my little brother a copy and I might not have enough if I get all the bells and whistles.

It has a 90 day return policy either way I think.

Read the last page of the manual guys.

"Micrsoft corporation warrants to you, the original purchaser of the game, that this game will perform substantially as described in the accompanying manual for a period of 90 days from the date of the first purchase. If you discover a problem with the game covered by this warranty within the 90 day period, you retailer will repair or replace the game"

And a possible console-generation wide thing.

About the slim having the problem - i knew it was having problems on other versions but it MOSTLY on the launch (white) versions which makes me think that it might be a problem with the CPU loadng the game since that's when the error happens

Rapildy running out of patience w/Microsoft & Bungie here. I know it's gotta be hard to concentrate with the post release party hangover they must be sporting, but let' s pick up the slack here. We don't deserve to be ignored!

My perfect straight out of the box Reach disc gives me the DNR error either straight away, or 10 minutes into the game (or when trying to load the first mission, Firefight works perfectly). When I installed it to the HDD and tried to play it, all I got was a bright green screen, and the Xbox crashed.

It's very rare that I have any problems with discs, the last time was with my ODST disc. Getting that cleaned at a shop seems to have fixed that issue though, so that was most likely just a scratch over time.

Yesterday I disassembled my Xbox and cleaned it entirely (I was only going for the laser, but seeing as it was open I figured I might as well), but that didn't help.

I'll be getting Reach cleaned toady, though I don't think it will do any good. That disc is perfect, as far as the eye can tell. I really don't want to have to post my game back to where I bought it and wait to have them then post me out a replacement!

Damn.. I don't have my copy yet but I don't want this to happen
Well it was released yesterday, about to be the day after in Australia in about 2 hours, so they might not know about it.

As far as I know Bungie has these emails you could try emailing
Webmaster
webmaster@bungie.com

Bungie.net Bugs
bnetbugs@bungie.com

I got my xbox 360 elite 2 weeks before Christmas last year (black console and silver tray and on the box where the barcode is, it says 0ct09) but since someone said they had the slim version and didn't work for them, I don't know whether to hold on and wait for another batch of CDs to be made or try my luck on Sunday.

Yes, and sorry for not to mention in my last post,
my console have some trouble in DVD drive so
when I turn on console, disk not reads once every 20 timesor so.
But in contrast other games works fine almost all times,
Reach never works in my console.
There is no visible damage on my disk

I have the same problem
All of my games are working perfectly fine, but when it comes to Reach I can play forge, firefight, multiplayer and the 3 first levels of the campaign. When i reach the 4th level the error comes up. If i try to load the 4th level from the main menu the error appears.

I have had similar issues when playing Halo3 and ODST on system link with my friends. certain levels aint working, but then we could skip to the next level since we all had completed it earlier while playing solo.

Ive tried clearing the cache, removing the hard drive, re-attach all the wires and basicly everything obvious you can think of.

COME ON MICROSOFT/BUNGIE!

I'm calling Microsoft support now..

1) Multiplayer co-op, I get the message disc error
2) Single player campaign reads fine
3) Installed game to HDD and still get disc error msg.
4) Audio cuts out during conversations
5) When I go into Cloak I lose all sound except for background music, even sound of Sniper Rifle is silent. (not sure if this was intended)
