IT'S THE DISCS

i mine game at the midnight release.

didnt work so i brought it back in the morning and they gave me a new one.

that didn't work so i went to a different gamestop about 20 miles away.

this disc worked just fine.

people in the first gamestop i went to were saying they tried in on 3 different types of 360's.

some discs are duds!

This is bs. On the phone with MS right now done all the troubleshooting, she says the best advise she can give me is return the disk. Gamestop manager is full of it.

Returning the disc will NOT help. Microsoft should be providing you with support for hardware issues. 1-800-4-MY-XBOX.

We will work with them directly to make sure their support representatives are not offering solutions that will not resolve your issue.
So is there no known cause of this at the moment?

so basically they have no Blaming ! idea what happen ?

what a glorious moment Bungie?

So do i need to call MS again after i was told there is nothing they can do?

Now that we know that they're at least paying attention, there's no need for further Bungie-bashing. They've taken note and are working to fix it, I'm sure. Just be patient

Yes. They may not be able to supply you with an immediate resolution, and each case may require a different support approach, but no matter the case or ultimate resolution, you should be calling 1-800-4-MY-XBOX, registering a support claim, and recording your case ID.

I know it sucks to buy a game and not be able to play it. Please bear with us.

Microsoft isn't charging me $90. I called them, told the problems I had with both ODST and Reach doing the same things, disc read errors and freezing and they had me send it to them.

Hoping for some more info soon!

First let me say THANK YOU. Its great to get a response, and as it was said before, we can stop bungie bashing. I'll call this number and i'll post what i get, thanks again!

  • 09.15.2010 1:05 PM PDT

You’re technically real... I'm considered a myth…

Halospire: We will post your creation and give you credit.

Urk... you should pin this up. This would help people figure out what to do and they could stop posting all the threads about scratched disks or unreadable disks.

It doesn't just suck, it's bull! $60 dollars is a lot of money. When I decide to spend money on your game only to get let down when I get home at 1am to play the damn thing it doesn't show a great deal of respect for the fans. Before you ship a product these kind of things should be ironed out.

I went back to Gamestop and exchanged it 3 times. I'm still having the exact same problem. Can't get past the first cut scene, failure to load content, and sometimes it doesn't even get to the main menu, my screen just turns green.

So are we all gonna have to call Microsoft and get our console's repaired... or will there be an update fixing this problem?

Thanks for acknowledging this problem anyway
