It's been almost a week since the launch of Halo Reach and we still have no update from either Bungie or Microsoft. We're only seeing rumors on other forums about an update to fix this problem, where is the word from Bungie themselves? They should be letting us know what is going on. Right now I'm thinking "Do I really have to go out and buy a new Xbox 360 to play this game?" because they are not saying anything, they are only posting in 1 specific thread on their forums and so far all they have said is to call Xbox and send our system in.
A software update online is very easy for a problem like this, many games have taken care of it in the past, and sometimes it only took them hours to fix problems like this. You find out why these systems aren't reading the disc correctly, you change the coding to the correct format, and you send out the update to everyone as an Xbox Live update. Why can't they do that? We paid 60$ (some of us paid more) for their game and for some of us we can't even play it.
This is just childish for Bungie and Microsoft to act this way. They are not saying anything about what their doing, and by now an update should already be out. Nothing has been said, nothing about what the problem is specifically, no word on when the update will be coming out. At least Apple confronted their customers about the iPhone 4 problems, Halo Reach buyers have not heard anything yet.
