Ok, here's the deal.
I'm trying to install Halo on my Mac, but I'm very very very lost as to how to do it. I just got/started using a Mac so I'm not really familiar with it yet. Can someone give me a link to how to install it? Or better yet, just tell me what to do? So far, I have tried to bring up the file, and opened the autorun program, but it says I dont have an application to open it with. I've also tried to manually choose a program to open it with, but I can't find what I need. And I'm getting upset because I wanna play Halo! HELP!

There is a very fine line between not listening, and not caring.

This sounds like you're trying to install the Windows version of Halo on a Mac, which is not possible. If I'm wrong, here's how to install Mac Halo:

* Insert the Halo: Combat Evolved for Macintosh CD into your Mac.
* Double Click on the Halo CD icon that appears on your desktop.
* Double click on the "Halo Installer" icon.
* Follow the on-screen instructions.

Though, it does sound to me like you've put your Windows Halo CD into your new Mac (The "autorun" thing gives it away - there isn't an autorun file on the Mac Halo disc).

Yeah, it's a -blam!-, I know. Did you have Halo from back when you owned a Windows machine, or did you mistakenly buy the Windows version of Halo after getting a Mac? If it's the latter, there could be a chance that the retailer you bought it from might refund you or let you exchange it, though it depends on where you bought it, most likely.

PS: JCM, I may suck at Halo online, but it's nothing to do with the number of buttons on my mouse. :)

You know, I hate to sound like a bigot, but I run Halo on a Powerbook G4. The one with the highest level video card. And I have a gig of ram.

I'm willing to bet Halo looks a lot better on my laptop than on most windows run machines.

Look, you probably won't find a bigger Mac evangelist on these forums than me, but platform advocacy has no place at bungie.net.

So, unless you have something worthwhile to add which is pertinent to the original poster's problem, then don't post.
