Bungie2 knows what he's talking about and addressed these errors accurately, what else can be said? First off, Bungie created Halo, don't question what they've done or say any of their games are non-canon. Second, don't let microsoft's two cents in the halo canon confuse you nor believe whole heartedly in anything they give. Bungie knew where they were going with the story since the beginning. Who knows. They may even fill us in on the entire history of halo someday.
oh yea? just like the halo encyclopedia right? that turned out so well.
Bungie claims to have this halo bible, but the continue to write stories ontop of stories. I'm not gonna lie, when I find out that books that I have bought aren't as true as they say, it makes me not want to read the book anymore.
I honestly kinda wish I would wait until the whole halo universe story is over just so I don't have to waste my time believing one thing and then come to find out I have to change my whole perspective. I mean, whos to say they wont make a game about first strike and rewrite that whole story?
Honestly for all we know there could be 30 spartan IIs or there could be 300. There is really no right answer
We're the ones in the dark who can't see the whole picture Bungie/343i know what they're doing, they have the whole big picture and can connect all the little dots we can't yet or can only guess at the connections. And actually very little of Halo's story ever gets changed, the only real change introduced in Halo Reach is the extension of the timeline for the battle, and that's it. Every other important facet of the book remains exactly the same. Blue Team still wipes the NAV Data from the Circumference, Red Team still has their hot drop to the Generator Complex, Reach still falls in a short amount of time when the 30th rolls around, and Master Chief and the Autumn still wind up at Alpha Halo.
