In halo2 masterchief can lean over and take a look at the enemies so you can see what you are fighting.and you can get a better advantage point for a attack.

yea i like leaning in games. ever played medal of honor? you can lean like crazy in that game and it really changes gameplay. i hope in halo 2 it will be more like call of duty and you can use it best to lean around corners, not dodge shots like MOHAA.

I don't think thats in the game anymore, they said that in the first Halo 2 EGM in 2002, but I haven't heard word since.

I find leaning awkward in console FPS's... it just isn't right to have to shift your grip over to the d-pad... it just don't like it on console games, and I sorta hope they remove it... but it could prove useful.

Plus... leaning doesn't really fit in Halo 2... well neither does the sprinting... but the sprinting is just awesome, and is actually a fairly new feature to games (only other game I saw pull it off was America's Army).

It can prove very usefull in the areas where stealth is the better part of wisdom........where did that come from?????? Any way i think it is still in the game, there are lots of stuff we haven,t heard of in a while (sprinting, melee combos, atv's) but i am very confident they are in. It would be cool, and in the E3 video when he leaned out around the corner it looked natural not like some games where the angle changes. Plus it will really help on Legandary to know what u are going in to.

The new German mag's H2 Beta update said the D-pad would be restricted to "tricks" when used with the A-button. That could mean leaning is still in.

Also. I'm not sure this has been brought up in the forums -- we all remember in the E3 Single Player demonstration last year, a marine leaned around a corner to toss a grenade at a group of jackels and grunts beofre the chief double SMGed them all. If leaning is still in, I'm guessing shooting while leaning won't happen, but perhaps we are able to toss 'nades.

He was leaning with his back to the wall... I highly doubt you would lean with your back to the wall in game... it wouldn't be right... I just hope they toss it, it doesn't belong in Halo 2.

They also said you could roll grenades, they were just throwing out ideas.

Wouldn't rolling grenades be kinda useless... I mean honestly... when would you use it? It would just be one more thing to complicate your mind that isn't really needed, if you are good at tossing grenades, then rolling wouldn't be necessary at all.

I hope leaning with ur back to the wall is in. So u can see what ur up against before u go crazy. But u cant shoot and only throw gernades. That is going to be tight in dark rooms. Think about it playing Ctf their are three guards guarding the flag u lean and throw gernades like crazy in the room and when they realize what happen BOOM...... too late.

Well... you wouldn't have to lean to throw grenades around a corner... you just bounce it off a wall...

No reason to be so primitive. If leaning is set to the D-pad, then you suffer no consequence.

Rolling a grenade could be a suitable alternative to having them bounce like a rubber ball.

I just checked the video again. The MC does lean. It's obvious when you notice how the MC's vision doesn't remain on an equal level. He didn't lower his weapons, he didn't have to put his back to a wall and he was being hit with plasma fire. Although that could be the visable layout from another person's perspective.
