I don't want random messages (ie, Join my group, etc). I have begun blocking solicitations.
Just want to add some of my observations to make sure they're heard:
1: Blue spawns on Boneyard are too powerful (especially on Snipers).
2. Team slayer has too much special crap in it. Its always DMRs/Pro/SWAT/Snipers. Rarely have I seen a standard set of slayer. Maybe a Team Precision playlist for those that insist on playing exclusively with the unbalanced/too good weapons?
3. This is personal, but I really hate vertical and/or/either cramped maps. Thus Countdown, Reflection, The Cage, etc I hate. So when Slayer does come up, and its actually voted on, I'd rather have played DMRs on Asylum than Slayer on one of those maps (so I guess what I'm saying here is that Team Slayer should have 2 votes for a Slayer game type on 2 different maps, and then maybe a special type).
4. Some maps are just too big for FFA. Like Boardwalk and Reflection.
4. Some maps are too big for Invasion Slayer (cough Blood Gulch cough).
5. Why bother having loadouts in Slayer if its just going to be the same weapon all the time? Add some variety to them.
6. You said the psych profile would be ungameable. Guess what? It is, and its being done. I specifically set mine to search for Lone Wolves (as that's what I am; though I'm not a team player, I just do my own thing and am decent at it). but I kept getting parties of coordinated teams. Me thinks they're setting themselves to Lone Wolf status and exploiting the easy prey.
7. Why does the Invasion playlist only have 2 votes?
8. If in Invasion you spawn on a flying vehicle and you fall enough to be killed, that should count as a betrayal. After the 3rd time, I learned my lesson: The guy was being a total douche (was also in party chat) and everytime I set to spawn on him, he flew as high as possible.
9. I don't know, maybe I have bad luck, but I often get incompetent teammates. Once on Multi Flag Blood Gulch, some guy let the tank get captured. Blue team then procceded to camp with it at the back of their base. Since it was flagged as ours, it never respawned. Power Vehicles should be flagged as neutral if there's no way on the map to kill them without another power vehicle. Kinda went off track with this one, my intent was to add padding of some sort to the base gametypes and/or maps to lessen the blow of random matchups. And no, I don't want to play with my friends as Im way better than them. At least in Halo 3, that meant our enemies would be matched to my trueskill and we'd have a really tough, if not impossible, time.
10. The spire kinda sucks on BTB. All the enemy has to do is hide in the spire to completely negate the use of vehicles. That just ain't fun; on either side, I don't care if we're losing, lets drive our vehicles anyway.
11. Shieldless Zombies suck. Its way to easy to just headshot them. Not very fun as a Zombie. In Halo 3 standard infection, having shields let smart zombies do better. Its called Dancing (Sword stays at the verge of lunge range, which is out side of shotgun lethal range. Sword keeps backing up until shotty gets impatient and then slice. Smart Shotgun should charge the Sword and lead it into a corner so it can't stay out of lethal range). Its very satisfying to win a good duel. You cant duel as a zombie without shields.
