shhhhhhh

During night time, the septagon seems completely empty, so do the others, and i would like to know how many people are accually on? So maybe bungie could get maybe somthing of a Ticker. It would display how many people are currently on, now i know this may be hard to do, but it would possibly be a useful feature.

Post in the daytime, problem solved.

And really, there are very few posts made here per day, it's not like your post will fly off the first page within a couple of minutes. Someone is bound to see it.

I can't post in the daytime, and so don't many other people, but this would not be the only use for it, there could be other uses for a member counter.

Right, we can make graphs of the number of average users on the site over a one week period and find the inflection points of the graph and use those numbers to use as answers to math problems we don't know how to do.

Or better yet, we can use the number of members at any one time and divide it by 15 to know how many mothers each ninja has at their disposal.

I think it would be good, If you post a thread and noones around to see it, does it make a point?

Why so negative ? .. The kid would just like to know the current users online. 99% of the forums i visit have this feature. Although not pertanent it could be helpful....

Graphs are good. Especially the line ones. I don't care so much for the bar ones. Go for lines. Or even a pie chart. Pie is good. Chocolate pie is best.

I'll be on my own side.

It seems more like a gimmick, and I would rather see Bungie out more time into the karma system than that.

Also, let's not flame each other here.

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

Kinda useless, don't you think? If you post it, they will come...most of the time. A 'ticker' may be useful on a 'normal' forum layout, but as you can see, Bungie has a rather different forum style.

I would like to have a number for each forum on how many users are browsing it. I can't nail down the usefulness its just something I would like to know. A currently online indicator under the posters user name would be pretty nice too.

No, because this karma system isn't like RvB's.

If a tree falls and noone is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

It would help a little: At the Americain night time it would be mostly people from the U.K and Europe. You wouldn't find me when your having lunch, I am sleeping because it would be night at the U.K. People from all over the world are on B.net.

Only the paranoid will survive!

Meh. It would be neat, but these things use up time I would rather see spent on something else. Like the Karma system. Or better yet, the Council!

Here's the thing, what you post will be there tomorrow. Your post is not like an instant message. It will not be lost after people log off. If your thread isn't on the top, users didn't like your thread too much, but thats not their fault.

Are you more worried about your thread being on the front page? You posted this thread about 8 hours ago, and I saw it.

I'd rather see the people names online in a group; not a number that shows how many users there are. Although, I have most of my friend on my instant messengers or IRC, so both plans wouldn't really help me.

Someone will see it, threads don't just disappear. If the thread doesn't get replied to, it probably wasn't worth posting.
