Why don't all of the Text Markup Tags work. One that doesn't is the color tag hummm. ? ?

And, Are there more tags to use than what is listed? I also tried to link out of the Resource / Custom database, but couldn't.

Thanks, dave

The color tag was removed because of abuse.

There is a problem with making links in the Custom resource entry.

I figured as much, but I had to ask. Not sure how you abuse the color tag but I will take your word for it.

As for the linking out of the Resourse/Custom page, it highlights like a link but you don't go anywhere. Sounds like you've had this problem for a while
(been there, done that, ha).

Thanks for your help. Later, dave

They were abusing it be making the color that of the background and writing obscene things. Eventually Achronos decided to pull the plug, which I feel was a good choice.

And to "theuspresident", they couldn't imitate the Mods by using color tags because the mods and Bungie Employees had the same colors as the normal users. Everyone had the same color text.

So now we know the true story behind the color abuse issue.

Thanks for the history lesson. Later, dave

I have wondered why they just didn't take away the useage of the yellow and white text colors, letting us use the other colors?

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

Because as Pimp at Sea said, everyone's default color was this one back then. The problem was that Achronos never liked the colors, and people were writing whole posts in lime green or hot pink. It was extremely annoying, and was much more of a problem than "invisible" writing. Giving the mods and Staff different colors was simply to help people who were looking for an "official" response to find it easier. It also makes it impossible to impersonat mods or Bungie Staff (not that that was a problem either).

Indeed. It would hurt your eyes to read some of the posts. That, and I think the color tags were slowing down Bungie.net.
