Don't be mean to PC owners.

It's a joke. Don't take it personally. All of my friends are PC owners. And I'll remind you all that Platform Bigotry is childish and stupid, and as good as banned on these forums.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

I have the intelligence and luck of being a Mac user, and Safari for some reason doesn't display coloured text on these forums - everything comes up in the default blue.

Wait... you mean I'm... I'm not the only one? Wow. *Turns to other mac users... so about 2 others* The messiah has arrived! There is still hope for us! He will lead us to the promised computer!

We're going to shape up?

*Breaks out into song*

This forum's got spaaaaam, it's multiplying.
The mods are looooosing controool.
But the poweeeeer, bungie's supplying, it's electrifying.

We'd better shape up,
clear these forums of spam,
If not Yoozel will fart on yoooou

We'd better shape up.
We gotta understand,
there's something more for us to do.

Something more, something more for us to doooo

It's the forum's I love, these are the ones I want.
ooo, ooo ooo
It's the forums I love, these are the ones I want
ooo, ooo oo

Oh what the forums neeeeeeed,
is for us to do good deeeeeeeeds.

ITS THE FORUMS I LOVE!

[/end]

Wow I am talented. Just ignore me, it's what everybody else does.

Anyway now that I have sung, I'd like to agree with you. These forums could be improved. A joke can be thrown in a topic here or there and it could go a little off topic but some of the stuff posted at some of the forums is just so... pointless. We'll have to help out. especially around the release of H2.

Random Quote of the Post:
Grease lightning! ~John Travolta

...

Wow...

...that's fantasticly fantastic

I couldn't have said it better myself -- That had me laughing for a good 10 minutes!!!!

Imaging Yoozel as a big foreheaded 6 year-old farting then running around laughing like a school girl has had me laughing on and off for a good hour.

Hey, I'm a mac User too, I actually just installed 1GB of Memory to my G5 (there's proof that they are upgradeable :P) But yeah, that thing about Yoozle is funny (no offense) but I'm surprised nobody has mention that recording of this guy (i forget who) mocking Shiska, does anybody here know about that?

Yes the Moderators are really cool, and I hope to be one to someday. I got some buddies that are Moderatoers on Bungie.net. There is a problem. With all the new people coming in, they don't know what forum is what, so they go and post in the wrong one. There are a 1,000 members joining every week, and its just to much for the Moderators!

I am a mac user, too. I seldomly am, at least here in Germany. I'm getting yelled and lauged at for being a "goddamn mac user," and then I laugh back when my friends download their tenth windows XP security update, and it still won't function properly.
Reiginko, you are my favorite mod! I just like the thought that Apple is advancing technology efficiently, as I see some stagnation at microsoft (Bungie studios is NOT included in this statement).
So I have a 20 Gig iPod to my left and a G4 iBook to my right, an Air Port Express downstairs, and I just love using all of those things.
Mac user = happy user. I'm drifting off topic. Sorry.

I've always wanted to get a mac, because from what I hear they crash less and have less bugs than windows computers (?). Anyways, about guys in New Mombasa that act the way they do, I don't see any way to stop it... besides assasination by ninja. People complaining about the weekly update thing makes me sick, so I won't get myself started on it for my own good and the good of others...

 • 08.14.2004 2:10 PM PDT

Wow, there are more mac users then i thought. Macs are cool, i use them to edit videos that i make and such. Any other mods use macs?

 • 08.20.2004 6:38 AM PDT

I use a Mac at home, but I started coming here while at work ("work" in a radio station entails a lot of internet surfing) and I noticed and liked the effect of colored text, so I use it often.
Will I use it now that I'm not going to be at the radio station anymore, now that it won't matter what the text looks like to me? Time will tell....

This thread seems to be going a bit off track here guys :P

But I'll link back to the original theme... Sorry to the mods about what has happened recently with my old account. I became a bit too irritated by things and let I let things get away from me. So to save you some trouble I've created an entirely Halo-player friendly new account ;-)

Sorry for teh trouble I caused.

Dear Mods, we love you, so we are going to shape up.

If someone needs to shape up- they sure aren't going to do it because they love the mods. ;-)

 • 08.21.2004 8:07 AM PDT

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

Don't make jokes about mods, either... Sometimes they don't take them as they were meant (I've been there... not pretty). And if this happens, be sure to apologize.

Oh, and come someday next week, I'll be a mac user! I ordered a mac laptop from amazon... I should get it around thursday. Woohoo!

Yes. I agree, I think that we should all pay a little more respect, not alot, but just enough to make their lives a little more liveable and defiantly think twice before posting a topic that has no relevance in the forum room.

Hail to all who are wise and powerful Moderators. You guys aren't gods... yet. Keep up the excellent work boys/gals. I shall do my best to keep etiquette standard up to snuff while for you guys.

PEACE

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

I wouldn't call them wise, Chubb... No offense intended to the Mods, but they're only users with a lot more power... Power doesn't equal wisdom... and I've seen their power used unwisely before...

Sometimes frightening, in their power.

Reiginko: our power is derived from out wisdom, Shai.

They have been granted powers for good, not evil, as deemed by the great Bungie... bow down insolent fool!

Well not quite like that, but they were recognised for their abilities and cool heads ;)

That marks the second time a post of mine was editted by a Mod.

Don't forget your past, Reiginko. You were once like us: Unable to edit the posts of others... virtually powerless. I didn't mean to say that you lacked wisdom... Just that you're not that wise. I'm not saying that I am wise, either... because I know I'm not.

I'll give an example of why I think the Mods aren't that wise: I've seen many circumstances where a mod will snip a ill-mannered (sorry if I misspelled that) or flamatory post of someone's, and leave a note that is almost as ill-mannered, or flames the person that typed the original post.

I understand why they do this... but I just don't think its the wisest thing that could have been done. Instead of leaving a Mod Note saying, "I think you're an idiot," (in response to the post they snipped one could have said, "Please do not say such things, and read the Forum rules and codes of conduct," or something akin to it.

Just what I think. I wouldn't be surprised if my view is not shared by others.

I fully agree, though..i dont own one, i also found them...funny!But i had enough of M$ lack of service, thus no more IE for me.I use FireFox now, but i cant seem to scroll in Bungie.net!Maybe some M$ HACK!

However to get on Topic, ive never really encountered the mods except for Stosh. So he's the only one im familiar with.He is also the one who closed my first topics(Never post a topic about a future Soviet regime children!)So he taught me my life lessons, and thus my respect for the wise and 'oll!

No, it's just that FireFox isn't 100% compatible with Bungie.net. If it was, then a second scroll bar would be visible, but then the rest of the website would be pure crap. I'm only saying this because it has happened that my computer will give me two scroll bars, but everything else is almost like a beta version or something.

Anyway, the second scroll bar ends up being hidden, and effectively put into uselessness, making it unable to scroll with the scroll bar on the right. However, one trick that I have found to be useful is that if you were to click on the latest reply to a post, and then use the scroll key right after the page is done loading, it will actually use the correct scroll bar. But, if you click on the page, then you can't scroll anymore. Achronos wrote something about this somewhere, maybe I can link it if I find it.

Well, here's one of the many times Achronos mentioned something about it.
