Dear Bungie,
I love the fact that you are still working on halo 2 and making it always interesting online. It is great to see a company still take intrest in an old project. But i have one problem with this new playlist.
I bought this game and bought xbl for 2 reasons:
1) For sheilds
2) Radar
Other games that dont have radar are fine, mainly cause you cant kill someone in the back with one hit. But without radar you cant tell, and when your fighting someone, all of a sudden you die cause someone punched you once.
I am one of those folks who live off radar, and thus i never get assasinated. I seem to kill so many folks cause they dont use it but i do, and i can identify what tatic they use or what they have by the radar. (sword charges or disipears, which mean there crouch walking) I know a lot of the pro players dont use radar, but thats because they get pwned all the time by it. (usually)
I am A hardcore player, i an a 34 legit, and I personally think that radar should be allowed.
EVERYTHING else is perfect, even down to certin maps only having 1 gametype. (cause it is not so much fun with everything else ;) ) Please re-consider the rardar option. Thank you for reading this, and please at least test it with radar to, at least then i know you guys gave a shot at it.
Your humble, loyal Bungie soldiar,
John________
First off I would like to thank Bungie for putting together this awesome play list. After months of debate you guys have come up with a legitimate compromise that should satisfy everyone across the board. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised as to how popular this thing is going to be. You must realize that this is what many of your most dedicated fans have been waiting for.
Now in regards to the above post, it is a well know fact that playing without motion sensor improves the overall intensity and pacing of the game dramatically. It requires one to be more aware of his/her surroundings as well as put more emphasis on proper decision making tactics while cutting down on camping. In other words it takes more skill to play without radar and most would agree with the notion that (skill = fun). If you’re getting ambushed then I suggest you work on getting better at anticipating your opponent's next move as well as recruiting reliable teammates to watch your back. It's named Team Hardcore for a reason and I for one have very little to complain about as far as this play list goes.
With any other game sir, you are 100% right. But we are talking about Halo 2, one that has shields, and one which one punch in the back finishes you. We are also talking about folks who don’t have surround sound (i do, but many don’t) and cant listen in so carefully.
I personally hate it when i am running at someone and kicking there ass, and all of a sudden i die cause someone lunges with a br like 10 feet (sarcasm) and kills me one hit, when radar makes it so u turn around, and nade them to hell.
Radar also adds a different kind of pace, one of CHARGING, and then running back, and so forth. I believe this is called gorilla warfare. Unfortunately With games such as (very good games to) Cs, Rainbow 6, and Half Life 2 (Counter strike for you people is a mod for half life 2) make this kind of strategy not that effective due to the fact any good player can drop you very fast.
People without radar tend to wait in 1 area together till they see someone or see there fire, then rush out. I will give you credit that it does add more intensity in cretin situations, such as making you panic if your being fired behind you. But I, and many others have more of an exiting time with radar.
And why is it some people cant read radar? It takes skill to identify without evening seeing the person if he is below or above you, what he has, and how might he attack. You literally have to read there mind, and counter it. It adds a different playing style, one which (yes I am good at, so it may make me be a lil biased) more fun.
The aspect is better of halo is better with radar, which is a DEFULT slayer option. I think it should be left alone. Plus it ruins the aspect of a futuristic feel of the game. With all do respect to you, I think your wrong. And that is why I came on to ask bungie to at least try it with shields and see how that impacts the playing feel.
Thank you,
John_________

Idiot filth, you are fouling this holy couminity. Please restrain yourself from this domain, or you will be fired apon, and you will not get gravemind to save your ass from drowning in Halo's waters.
