I assume this means I cant earn anymore credits for a certain amount of time?
Does anyone know how long.
Yes I am aware its because ive been playing a LOT of Gruntpocalypse today. I was playing MM with some friends earlier but they all went offline so I just decided to go for Captain (evidently this means I earned too much too fast).
Im not really bothered at the cap, Id just like to know how long I have to wait.
15 minutes?
A few days?
A week?

Thanks for any help.

Shameless bump as id really appreciate any light anyone might be able to shed.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

I think that you're permanently stuck where you're at. Spend those last credits wisely. I think it's all over now.

Seriously. I could be wrong though and let's hope I am.

I'm guessing that it would be for a day. They probably have a limit for the amount of credits you can get in a day to prevent grinders for completely ranking up in Gruntpocalypse in a day or two.

Hmm fair enough. I havent even played it THAT much. I just checked. Maybe 20 games today, but thats all different forms of Score Attack, and a bunch of MM too. Ah well, no matter!

I would hope this is the case. Im not really too fussed if it is for longer, Id just like it to not be permanent haha!

i got the limit too i hope its not a week because if it is i wont be on halo for a while

  • 09.21.2010 4:58 PM PDT

I dont have reach but I know a lot who do, my best guess is that 1. you have too much credits and need to spend some. 2. You were banned or something. Or 3. Servers are having troble.

I am pretty sure there is a daily/weekly cap to prevent people from grinding Gruntpocalypse

How much credits did you earn?

Im on around 186,000. I was saving them to buy the ODST Shoulders and the Scout helmet. Do you think if I spend some I may still be able to earn them?
I wuld quite like to make it to Captain before I sleep.

Hello friends,

The Online Credit Limit is a daily cap on Credit earn - it does reset so come tomorrow you can continue your earnapalooza.

We've seen other systems come and go where rampant abuse of progression systems has devalued the online ecosystem and the Online Credit Limit is just one of many countermeasures against these activities.

Actually playing your favorite gametype or checkpoint in Reach isn't going to get you banned, but it may get you to the cap faster.

Thanks,
-luke

Your score for the last seven days has hit 200K -ish. Come back tomorrow after the Daily Challenges update, and you should be able to earn CR again. I recommend playing something like CrashSite in Score Attack, so you can end it easily without racking up points towards a quit ban if you're not earning cR.

And I get ninja'd by a Bungie person <3. They're saying it's a Daily Cap.. I'm not so sure. I suspect there to be a Weekly Cap as well :P. As he says, though.. come back tomorrow!

If you reach the cap every day, is it possible the system could flag you?

Edit: Nevermind, my question's been asked already.

But OP, how many credits did you actually manage to get?

184,000 or so. I havent really spent any, I was saving for the ODST pads and Scout helmet. Now ive spent some on the blue visor and a few other bits and bobs, but I still have enough for my perms :)
