i personally agree with you get uber pwned...
bungie literally puts a credit cap to stop hardcore gamers like us to enjoy leveling up and reaping in the credits or xp legit for that matter...

honestly look at other games like world of warcraft or call of duty....there is no freakin cap for any certain day at all....if you earned your credits legit there shouldnt be a cap to begin with...yes i will admit that person has no life if he is playing tons of hours leveling up but he's putting in the hardwork to get that rank and armor that he wants to show off to his friends...
bungie all i ask is take off the credit limit cap for the day....cuz all i know is people gonna be switching to black ops if u keep going on with these strict rules...

It's 60K...

hit me up if you wanna get JETPACKED

The reason that you have the limit is because every rank you level you can earn more credits.. for example "inheritor" which is the last rank in reach you can achieve you can have up to 20 million credits so no it's not permaneant you just gotta level up more to be able to get more credits. :)

A game is a game, and the player, in this case the consumer who bought the game, can play it however he or she likes... thats your understanding of the video game and how it works,im not saying you are wrong but people have their own opinions about the games they play, so let him/her have them. i wanna play the game to get max rank and then just play for fun, its just like MW2, get the max rank then keep playing for fun, because you get to play with all the "higher up" weapons that some players have yet to unlock. and in this case, the player would want to wear the JFO, or other higher up armour to make his appearence look better, credit farming or not. for example, are people getting banned in, this may sound odd, WoW for farming at a certain place for money? no, only bots, scripts playing the game for you, are the ones getting banned because the program the player is using is flaring up a red flag for the gameing system to see. its the same as the game called runescape. so putting a credit limit on the game is a bit far fetched. but it is what it is, for now atleast. critizise me if you will. im voicing my opinion -iTz DuhBrock-

Im the consumer. I bought the game so I should be able to play the game the way I want to whether that is getting to the highest rank as fast as possible or playing the game casually for fun.

Thats not how video games work. They design them for you to play them, the way they want you to play them... please stop -blam!-ing about a credit limit.
If you dont care about armour, stop complaining about the cap,
If you play for fun, stop complaining about the cap.
The cap, if it was originally explained better, is a great idea. It limits credit farming to at least reasonable levels...

Hello friends,

The Online Credit Limit is a daily cap on Credit earn - it does reset so come tomorrow you can continue your earnapalooza.

We've seen other systems come and go where rampant abuse of progression systems has devalued the online ecosystem and the Online Credit Limit is just one of many countermeasures against these activities.

Actually playing your favorite gametype or checkpoint in Reach isn't going to get you banned, but it may get you to the cap faster.

Thanks,
-luke

What is, dare I ask, the magic number of said daily credit limit?
60K... There. Now Luke owes me a Steak Dinner

hit my cred limit everyday -blam!-. 6 days runnin

  • 10.25.2010 7:45 PM PDT

The main purpose to a credit limit is a backup system for exploits. so they dont have to worry about people boosting 250k points in a day in a "legit" manor. (without hax or serious exploits) it gives the devs a little bit of reaction time before things would get out of hand

Too bad rampant abuse of the progression system is an understatement concerning reach. Farmers are more common than not.

you only that way for a day. it keeps people from credit farming. i think it still counts towards your rank but it doesn't show until thenext day. or vise versa.

  • 11.02.2010 6:14 PM PDT

credit caps are bungie's way of saying it's time to get some air and go outside.

  • 11.02.2010 6:55 PM PDT

there is a daily limit to help keep abusers to a minimal.

Go outside for a few hours.

As for getting Lt.Colonel grade 3 and no more-

Go get a lot of sun and relax.

When the level cap is raised, more credits will be permitted, this is to prevent someone from farming say 5,000,000 and being Max rank as soon as the next ranks hit.
