I love the moaning about Bungie not letting you "just play the game." Sure, you can't earn any credits after you've capped, but hell, you haven't been able to earn credits for ten years!
Luke Smith isn't going to bust through your window and beat your disc into shards with a hammer if you've reached the credit limit.
Look at Call of Duty, the game this forum loves to hate. Why is it hated? Glitches, spray and pray style, and EXP exploitation. NONE of these are in Halo Reach, yet you still find the need to complain that Bungie doesn't let you "play the game."
I'm sure when the rank cap is lifted you will find another thing to moan about.
And yeah, you can have an opinion, but my opinion is that this is so frivilous it shouldn't even be mentioned on the internet. If you only play Halo for the cR, why the hell are you even playing?
Well said.
The unfortunate truth is people need to complain about something. Heaven forbid, people might have to play a videogame that offers no incentive other than a fun experience. *gasp* For shame Bungie. How dare you offer me a good time with a limit to the compensation I receive for being a fan. I should sue you with the fictional currency you allowed me to earn today.
Okay, I'm done being sarcastic... for now.
But seriously, how ignorant do you have to be to claim that this will push people to Cod, and announce it in the forums as if it's a death threat to Bungie. Despite the fear of inciting a riotous mob, I'll admit I'm a fan of both the Halo series and CoD (if the general public can accept that as a possibility), but if a simple game mechanic is going to make you stop playing one and go to the other, that's your problem, not the creator's. Both games have their good and bad qualities, but a safety net to keep boosters and credit mongers from digging their grubby little fingers into the virtual economy is not going to bring about the death of a brand new game. And should you decide to stop playing because of it, well good for you, more fun for the rest of us.
