I want to see this war from a covenants point of view... Like maybe if you beat halo2 on super duper legendary then you can unlock a Covenant storyline that'd be pretty cool dont ya think?

The the second halo novel, The Flood, is actually half human point of view and half covenant.

Not if they have to spend more time making that part of the game. If it's been goin so long because they also made a Covie campaign I'd be pissed.

This has been discussed many times before, and a Covie campaign would be a bad idea... it just wouldn't fit in, it would sort of change the feel of the game. I would rather have them work harder on the normal levels than make extra Covie levels.

I'd rather feel the experience of the darkside and have a longer game than nothing at all

It probably would not fit but it would be an intresting idea to develop on its own.

Maybe, but I still feel it would kill the mood of the game.... I just can't explain it...

It wouldnt kill the feel because itd be an unlocked mode... like in many other games that have 'unlocked modes' like extra games n such

like in RTCW i think you can unlock an older version and etc to many other games out there

But for a game as in depth and involving as Halo is, with everything perfectly balanced as you lead a "one-cyborg assault on the Covenant", the aforementioned unlockable playtype would be a considerably different game, with different focuses and quirks.

It'd take focus away from the original gameplay. If it's there, kudos, but I highly, highly doubt it.

eh it was just an idea wasnt it...?
its just a game, either your theories come true or you just get what you given... its not a big deal

i agree with you, it would have no interferance on the storyline and keep everyone happy, if you dont wanna play it then dont. as long as on the last level the elite gets killed by the spartens. YAY

nah.. it wouldn't be balanced. If your the covie, once you kill the master chief, you win the game pretty much.

but it would be balanced because then youd know how the covie relations was formed and how this all began... maybe the covie can have their own version of a SPARTAN so it IS balanced
just killing the SPARTAN john wouldnt end the game (there is more than 1 u know, right?).... it could be you were the covie attacking different regions of the world while MC was on the other side of the earth where you both wouldnt make contact and interfere with eachother, but the covenant would still win anyhow

it would be fun anyways

If you wanna know about the Covie relations and backstory read the Primer and the books.

The game is about MC and saving Earth.

Just my opinion anyways, dont mean to be short with ya, it's 5 am and I'm still awake

just imagine that if halo1 you started as the covie and fought the humans and you never played as the SPARTANS.
would you still say you wouldnt want there to be a human campain in halo2?

About now Hikaru 119 should come and give a very good explanation why there shouldn't be a covie campaign.
But it still would be cool.

IF there is a covie campaign, you probably will be an elite. And you probably won't face Master Chief. And you will probably be fighting other covenant or a new surprise race instead of humans. Because the covenant is far superior the humans in both numbers and technology, so it wouldn't be fun to fight them (humans). It would be like having an army of Master Chiefs plowing down grunts with battle rifles and smg's.
