I'm sure they make them in four different frequencies... since there are 4 controller ports on an xbox. They wouldn't want to limit their sales by making it so only one per box could be used.

Man, you don't want to use wireless controllers. I have never used one wireless controller from any company that actually worked good for more than an hour.

Logitech, the newer version (~US$50). I believe 16 of them can be used in the same space. I frequently play with a friend, and each of us use the wireless Logitech.

The only inconvenience is that each controller needs to have it's frequency set, individually, after all of them have been turned on. This just means that no-one can be pushing buttons or anything while other controllers are having their frequency set (by pushing the connect button on the station, waiting a few seconds, and then pressing a button on the selected controller).
